I like buying up all the cheap items. It's doing a favor to the people who have them just sitting in their shop.
Also, yea, no support. It's a free market, and I'd rather supply and demand not be decided by staff. They've already got enough on their plate, anyways.
Besides, then I can't keep hoarding all of the bacon. :C
As much as I agree with the sentiment -- urgh why do you own THREE THOUSAND OF THESE grumble grumble etc -- I don't approve of staff intervening.
Only if subetateam also gets warnings everytime they buy out usershops.
... no really, this would be silly. There's nothing to say the users with 500 of something priced at 50m hadn't had those already priced like that for months, or had 500 in a hoarding shop/vault for years and didn't put them in shops until they noticed it was a new thing worth some bank (see: the recent items turned into books, many sold out within an hour and the few left in user shops were indeed 50mish). Some of us also hoard stuff for the sake of hoarding stuff (all yo Breena and Liquor-Filled Truffles are belonging to mee) so just because a ton suddenly go missing and a ton suddenly go on sale doesn't necessarily mean it's the work of the same person.
0/10 support.
I own over 1000 happy songbirds because i CAN
I actually laughed at the title of this suggestion.
No support.

I do not want to talk about the things I have done but at least this is a gallery and not a shop XD
Basically this is a game. The people who buy up all of those items are playing the game how they want to play it.
💖 ✨ 🤗
No support here either. I don't even know how staff could begin to police it.
As an average, not-rich player, I just quit a quest if the items are over a certain amount. And prices almost always come back down again... like the high balloon prices. They (wait for it)... DEFLATED. hahahahacough
I also don't have the patience to hoard anything, although if drops enough, I just might...
GET OUT.
jk
ALSO if we see this happening we typically tweak those kinds of items to try and get more of them out ;)

Be glad you don't know me in real life ;) Bad balloon jokes 24/7.
THEN WHERE ARE THE [item=Gear Shifter (Dog)]?
I WANT. NONE AVAILABLE. GIVE TO ME, PLEASE.
none of them were hoarded and false inflated.
PLOT PRIZE CRYSTAL SHOP ITEM PLOT PRIZE PLOT PRIZE
I used to have the mouse and the monkey.
You don't want to know how much I paid for them
(very little)
gross sobbing
YOU ARE SO CRUEL TO ME
i need those last four dang things to complete my minion collection THAT'S IT THOSE FOUR WHY DOES HATE ME SO?
Honestly if you want the item that badly, have patience. It'll be sold at a reasonable price eventually.
So yeah, I don't agree with this suggestion at all.
You know what, I seriously applaud the people who have the patience and sp to do that.

It's just their way of doing business.
Don't like it? Me neither. But it's a free market, so it's not forbidden. And oligopolies happens all the time when there's high demand for some certain stuff. If you don't want to support or encourage them, then wait until prices fall or buy from someone else.
It's hard to do that when there is only one shop selling said item (hence monopoly) and these items are retired, collection items. So you're either hoping someone has some laying in their galleries (but usually they will still price them around SS price) or that staff decides to do a rerelease. Which reminds me...
I can think of some lovely Cash Shop natural disaster stickers that come in the random-pack variety that could use some rereleasing after today. :)
[edit] oops look like I broke the thread, awesome
