i so agree ^ ... i'm on here a lot and still can't find anything there any more :/

I'm thinking people are trying to get the lacy skin and are buying up items for that purpose. Even though I want the skin, I'm just buying the new items I really need.
We complain when the invites are expensive and we complain when invites are cheap. No pleasing everyone. Give it a rest. Please.

A lot of posts in this thread just disappoint me to be honest. People are complaining that they can't get what they want, when they want... well . Remember there is an element of the site that is a game; you're competing with other players who want stuff, and it shouldn't be that you can get anything you want without having to do something for it, be that restocking, or trading with other users who restock.
I have barely checked SubQ since the invite system started, because it just wasn't worth it. Nothing has retained its value in the longest time. Hopefully that will change. This is a fun change for me, and maybe I can enjoy the thrill of catching SubQ restocks now.

Right, how dare we expect a part of the site to be available to those of us who cannot sit on our asses all day stalking a shop whose items weren't devalued in the first place.
Exactly.
If you don't have the time to restock, don't restock. It's that simple. Nothing stops you from buying the item from another player.

That isn't even what this topic is about anymore. It's the lack of reasoning for this change - i.e. SubQ wasn't devalued, and the values haven't gone up since the change - and that staff is once again not saying a word.
Contribute to the board instead of just calling us spoiled.
I believe I did contribute to the board. I am providing support for possible reasons why the restocks were reduced. You don't have to agree with me.
= 245k = 349k user price. 175k shop price. Loss of 71k. = 354k user price. 164k shop price. Loss of 55k. = 400k user price. 174k shop price. Loss of 19k.
Tell me again how SubQ items aren't devalued. The prices will (should) slowly rise as the supply has diminished and people start to buy up the undervalued ones from user shops. Values of new SubQ items will not fall so quickly.

It's already been like this for weeks. It's not something they did two days ago. I'd say closer to a month. And if the items haven't gone up in value by now, it's unlikely that they're going to.
If you actually read the board, you'd see people putting out solutions, such as raising the prices of the items, which actually WOULD raise the value of SubQ. Tweaking the stocking to be just a touch more frequent, retiring lines sooner, and raising prices are all incredibly valid suggestions that would make a lot more sense than what they're doing now. If you actually read the board, you'd see how many people are in total agreement of these changes. It's an sP sink. What use is an sP sink with unattainable items?
With the invites going out as frequently as they are, and the stock so low, it's literally the exact same as it was before the invite system was put in to place. They literally reverted it back to it's original form, when it was impossible to find the items. What point is there then, to have the invite system at all? If they're going to revert it back to the original system, then need to just buck up and tell it to us. This bullshit of avoiding boards where users have genuine issues and want clarification is way, way old.
As much as prices should increase, that's not what's happening at all. The item directory shows that prices on many SBQ items have fallen within the last two weeks, even though we've been subject to reduced stocks since the end of January.
Sougara Bonfire Flat Cap ¦ Kore Woodland Walk Hair Bow ¦ Cece Hound Tight Dress Kore Bloom Eyeshadow ¦ Giselle D.E.V.I.L.L.E Hairbrush ¦ Verdi Luminous Wild Flowers Dapper So Fantastic Painting ¦ RoQ Candy 2Scare Fake Fangs ¦ Junko Enthralled Folded Paper Flower
Granted, these aren't the best graphs, since they only use two data points, are only confined to the last two weeks, and are all scaled differently (and are therefore slightly prone to make small changes look more dramatic). Nevertheless, the overall trends are clear (provided that these graphs aren't glitched to hell). THIS ISN'T WORKING.
Probably because the original stock decrease more or less fell in line with the existing rate of purchases:
...So it hasn't really decreased the number of items going out. I'd be interested to know whether this restriction has made people more likely to buy from the SBQ. If you consider the still high numbers of invites coming into the system, users may be less likely to factor in their price when buying the items; they're free and abundant, why should they? Therefore, it would be cheaper to buy directly from the SBQ, while people pricing them in their shops perhaps don't feel the need to make up the extra price of the invite.
On top of all that, the silence from staff in recent weeks on this topic worries me...
Thank you for the graphs. As I told Rhino, the prices haven't increased. Had this change come out say just a week ago, I wouldn't be so quick to say they haven't changed, because there hasn't been time yet. But SubQ has been reduced for about a month at least, the user shop prices would have had plenty of time to adjust, and according to those graphs the items are DECREASING in value. What sense does it make then for this change?
Subeta, if you're going to revert the SubQ back to it's original form, just SAY SO. Haven't you learned that avoiding boards like these as if they're going to go away without a response DOESN'T WORK?
I suspect you're right about people buying more SBQ now and it balancing out the increased rarity. The difficulty of even finding items in SBQ currently has made me purchase a couple of pieces that I wouldn't have bought before the change, just because I felt like if I don't buy something when I see a restock, I won't get the chance anymore.
The less desirable items used to just sit in the shop, sometimes until the shop cleared. Making an unpopular item harder to get doesn't make it more popular, and rarity itself doesn't cause something to be more valuable on it's own. Only a combination of rarity and desirability can do that.
