I'm surprised nobody mentioned why an important reason it's discontinued is because it was printing money into the economy with no oversight.

I do miss the days when I bought shares for around 10sp which rallied to 100sp or so... and also the times I forgot I bought them earlier that day and they went bankrupt xD
