I haven't actually touched rates on the forum points - I've been getting a lot (but I imagine I post more than the average user). This is one of those things where people see new items come out and want to get them all TODAY when they're released but if you keep posting on the forums you should have enough points soon enough :)

I'll keep an eye over the next few days on the number of points going out and bump it up if it looks too difficult :)

They are a mechanism we are using to get people to post on the forums more often, so that is probably part of it :)
