= Turtledove
= Pe-Nut
= Singing Bird, Singing Rabbit, Singing Fish
Nun. (We can search for 3 characters in shop search, now) Otherwise, Nuun or Nunn
Guy.
There probably are more minions who have unfortunate names
EDIT: From Lantern There are several other minions with year dates in their names could be Celebratory Kitty could be New Year Live Teddy could maybe be New Year Puppy?[/quote]
The Singing Bird would be such a cute minion if it didn't have "2012" in its name.
I know the feeling, I have a "A Turtledove" as a minion and it is so stupid!
The bird minion is called "Turtle Dove" too!
It's so weird to me that it's "A Turtle Dove". Wouldn't the words on the pet profile be "____ the A Turtle Dove"? That is just bad grammar.
I forgot that one! Going to add it to the first post!
This is exactly what it says
"George the A Turtledove"
I don't see anything wrong with Pe-Nut the Disturbingly Happy Minion, I think it's kind of cute.
The others though don't need the "a" or "2012" I'm sure there are plenty of others too, so I'll agree about those.

The Nun minion and three others came from the retired Mystical Dreidel item.
The others are Heifawn, Shin and Gimel.
They're Hanukkah references, which doesn't really fit with Subeta moving away from real world stuff. Maybe they should all be totally revamped?
I think it because of the way minions are supposed to be named when they are given to a pet.
Like Sopheroo showed with the A Turtledove example, Pe-nut would become
"George the Pe-Nut the Disturbingly Happy Minion" which makes no sense.
Maybe
As for numbers there are some others too
[Item=2006 Celebratory Kitty][Item=2007 Puppy][Item=2007 New Year Live Teddy]
Maybe Pe-Nut could become "Disturbingly Happy Peanut" or something instead that would fit better grammatically but keep the disturbingly happy part?
But yeah basically I agree on all of these
There are several other minions with year dates in their names could be Celebratory Kitty could be New Year Live Teddy could maybe be New Year Puppy?
As a minion collector, I definitely say no to changing Pe-Nut the Disturbingly Happy Minion's name. There are a set of minions/items scattered around with adjective descriptors in them, sort of like a set. I think they're charming and funny. Not everything has to be perfectly set up grammatically to coincide with a pet profile, especially when there are quite literally HUNDREDS of minions to choose from with more 'normal' names. Leave the quirky oddballs alone, please.
I also don't have a problem with the minions with dates in them, personally. They commemorate a year, and were specifically designed to be celebratory items for that year.
The only minion names I would agree need a change are the ones that add 'A' just to avoid the old 3-letter rule.
That's my 2 cents, at least.
All of these need updating. The A Turtledove especially. D:
The grammar doesn't bother me so much with the Peanut minion, but with a long ass name like that I'd never actually give it to a pet-- seriously, tl;dr.
The [year] [minion]s seriously need to be renamed, jibbers that's so annoying. I understand they celebrate a year and all, but y'know? They can do that in the item description because no one really wants their pet to have a "2012 Singing Bird" :I
Also yes to all of the "A ___".
I know they fixed a minion once that started "The ___", so it makes sense that the reasoning should apply with the "A ____" minions as well.
A Nun should be Anun to me. The pet gives me an Egyptian vibe anyway, and Anun is similar to Amun.
That is good as well.
I don't know if anyone mentioned it yet, but I think the A Turtledove is kind of a reference to "two turtledoves"... but it's not two, it's just one, so A Turtledove (omg I suck at explaining things). Maybe make it "One turtledove" so it doesn't sound so stupid?
But yes to all the new year minions getting rid of the years in them. The only thing is if the change the 2007 Puppy name, they'd probably have to change the plushie name too (not complaining, just a reminder)
:)
