I'll add more when I encounter them ^^
The original Emo Bubble line: [Item=Emo Bubble Laugh] [Item=Emo Bubble Booty]
There is such a rough look to their design both in item art and wardrobe depiction compared to the refined pirate variations that came out later, see below.
What a difference! With the old ones, the lines are too thick, there's no shading to speak of, where there's text it is plain. The newer ones are clean, trimmed, at least partially shaded and look brighter and fresh. I'd love to see the old ones given the same treatment, or better at this point.
I think that's the style, though. The older ones are meant to be sort of the cheesy chat bubbles, at least that's how I see it. idk if that was how it was meant
Ehhh....I guess?
Maybe it's because I prefer a simpler, cleaner style in my own art (which I hardly do anymore and wasn't that great to start with BUT ANYWAY XD). But I honestly don't see anything wrong with the speech bubbles in the top row, aside from possibly the last one - cramming that many letters into a small speech bubble makes it more difficult to read. In fact the text is supposed to be simple, for that very reason - it's easier to read when reduced in size (as many newspaper cartoons, comics, and graphic novels are when they go to print, which is what these are based on).
I'm also not sure why you think they need shading; speech bubbles aren't actual physical objects that are affected by light. (They can have it, if it's your comic and your aesthetic, but they don't need it.) If anything I would remove the shading, especially since it's on one side in the item art, but on the other side in the HA art.
Know what would be kind of fun, though? Speech bubbles in different shapes to indicate different moods. (There may be some in CWs already, I don't follow that scene so I don't know.) Jagged edges usually indicate anger/yelling; sometimes cross-hatching on the bottom of a speech balloon shows sadness or grumpiness. Or better yet, some of the simple drawings in comics and manga to quickly convey a meaning, like a light bulb when a character has an idea, or head veins when a character is irritated.
Anyway, I may be in the minority opinion here, or overstepping my bounds a bit, but there are many other items listed that I think could use a revamp far more than these.
Overlay of and any other bandages within same series should be revamped, they have lineart that are too thick to be useable.
Really hard to make it work as a wearable.
back here for my periodical supply: revamp the only seraph wings we have on site (non-cw) there is just SO much potential here!
All the animal head items from Spells Galore need revamping so the blacks and browns etc match the base skin colours. They also need to be smaller.
[item2=Rainbow Trading Card]..., Why is this gray?
It's gray because it's just showing the back of the card, not the image that would be on the other side if it were an actual trading card.
There are a few different colors the card backs can have: gray, green, blue, yellow, red, light blue, purple. I'm not sure what the colors are supposed to indicate, but I think it's left over from when trading cards were originally intended to have a bigger use on the site other than just as collection items. Like if it were an actual trading card game, I think they would represent different types of cards or something (like attack card, magic spell card, etc.), but nothing ever really happened with that.
Some of the newer trading cards are made so you see the other side of the card instead of the back, and I think those are the ones that are used in the Mazes & Mahars game on the site (although I don't play it much myself). I'm not sure if the older cards will ever be revamped or something to have different looks so we see the other side of the card, but it might be nice eventually.
Thanks for the info! I wondered why so many of the cards were just blank backs, but a card called rainbow being gray really made me wonder. They seriously need a revamp! All of the plain back cards make the trading card collection horrendously ugly, and there's no way to delete them.
Couldn't see these anywhere. All the colours.

He protects our money....also he's apparently a gif. Can we help him out?
and the description could be changed or tweaked too, please? not a big deal, but it sticks with me as I have eating disorders
My first time making a post here so I apologize if Iām posting in the wrong place but the harvester raincloaks are awesome, getting a revamp for Morostide would be great.
