I dunno how many cheap book places you have over there but the Book People have the new cover designs for the HP books (complete set of 7 books), and apparently they now post overseas as well ;)

Ohh, I didnt know about that bookstore, I will check to see if they ship overseas. Like I said.. the translations are horrendous. If you guys only knew, you be mortified being HP fans and everything. :P

nods I can imagine some of the translating is rubbish! I dunno why they don't have fans of the books to translate them - at least then it might make complete sense ;)

To their defense, its not the easiest books to translate really. Plus, the book series were not a huge deal back then, like it is now. ;) No one they would be this popular when they first were sent to be translated.

that's a good point - I think they only translated the first book in some languages, and gave up with the others!

:nods: Plus, they had to stick with the names of the characters etc for the next books. Yes, they even translated a lot of those. Like for Dumbledore, the teachers, Weasley family etc. At least Harry got to keep his name. :P

Even the schools name got translated... Like one of the teacers got translated into Madam FrenchFry.... (the norwegian word for it anyways). Yuck!

soft grip would be ideal - I've got quite small hands, so the metal ones Mum has are a nightmare to use (Mum says if you can find some over there, that'll save her trawling the craft shops to get me some laughs but no worries if you can't ;)) hehe I've referred 4 I think - but most of those don't play any more :( That's a really neat background - never heard of the movie, but it looks great :D :D Nope, I haven't looked at that task properly yet, this one is her arriving at Hogwarts - she still thinks Scotland is cold, even with all that fur :P

if you'd like some I'll take a look. I know they have some normal scissors for students (as in smaller pairs) if that'd help but I can look for soft grip. aww rats at them not playing anymore. thanks :) worn it before but not that often lol awesome. I've done the missing items and the HA one so far.

If you could, that'd be great - a full sized pair would be fine, but soft grip would definitely help (my fabric scissors weren't advertised as soft grip, but they're nice and comfy to use :))

hehe I bet that confused you completely! It's bad enough when I knew the name, but pronounced it wrong in my head when reading the books, so the name in the film confused me, but for the names to be translated (and badly!)?? :P
