Rent a goat business sounds good....if you are digging up those plants you have to get the roots right?I pull weeds at the booth all the time(i hate it)...sounds like a hard job to get those big guys at your place....goats sound better all the time..

Got sounds great to me too. I think my dogs would freak out, with those strange furry creatures in their back yard.

My dogs are very territorial, so I would be surprised if they didnt mind them.

So they would have a coming to jesus meeting. My yard is big enough for a good sized trampoline and a 12' by 24' above ground pool with plenty of yard leftover.

that is a nice sized yard cuz if you wanted to get a goat and keep it you would just need a little dog house for the goat to stay in and they will eat your weeds but they also need grains too and of lots of water .... you cant tie them up or they will either eat what ever it is you have them tied up with or they will try to hang themselves not the smartest animal in the world lol but they will become like your pets to you they are fun to have around... I am getting some next year in the spring after I get a fence put up

LOL The area you're in sounds interesting. Is your yard fenced in?

I already have a spare doghohuse, I would never think to have them use a dog house. I would hope it would bleat night and night. My yard has a rockwall probably more than 6 feet high, and wraps around the house. Lie near busy street, so when we bought the place, we raised and brought around to the front sides of the house. Our 3 sons were young then, we wantd to keep them in, and strangers out.

The concept of renting goats to eat your weeds is blowing my mind, but then again, I live in the Detroit area/suburbia. You guys must have a loooot more yard!

That's a pretty solid fence. My place is a little over 50 by 100 feet and i need to replace my fence. It's an ugly old farm fence about to fall over.I just had it surveyed to make sure it's all legal...Hi

I've been to the south (mostly Nashville though) and I gotta say, that seems like the perfect place to retire. It's a bit hot and humid for my taste, but no snow! And it's beautiful! And horses!

Hey there! I haven't been active in here lately. I feel like I have nothing to add to the conversation :/

Yep my female Roxy has road tested it a time or two. She would run up the wall make a U-turn and come back down. Never went over the top, probably because her brother and food are on this side of the fence. It has huge rock chinked with cement, its popular for fences around here. Hi What until you go to Cairo, Egypt and hear dockeys braying and roostering crowing in the middle of the city. Plus see sheep herders let their sheep eat grass wherever they can find it. Many farmer, farm along the Nile River going through Cairo. Cairo has over 20 million people living there.

LOL looks to me like you just did add to the conversation.I'm in Saskatchewan,Canada.I too bought a place and retired. It's all farmland all around me.Sometimes i get a chance to work on a farm or two mostly driving jobs as i'm disabled. The dogs sound big.The one thing i never got used to in Cairo was the lanes of traffic. They seem to be in what ever direction they feel like going. It wasn't consistant....i saw lots of animals running around even on the roads which slowed the traffic down a lot.I was in Cairo many times driving a jeep mostly.
