Where you headed in Cairo?Are you going to the Great Sphinx and the pyramids of Giza??I stood upon the paw of the Sphinx in 1978,something you can no longer do and I also went inside the Pyramids...I remember the lights going off inside while we were on the ramp,we were hunched over as there was no room to stand upright....we were all handed candles for the half hour that we were stuck inside....it's an odd feeling seated on my knees in complete darkness and being inside a pyramid.How is the food?

Hi every one sorry for such a quick comment. I was using my cell to get here, and am all thumbs. We arrived safely in Cairo. They had heavy rain in the Alexandria area, we avoided most of it. We had left early in the morning.

We have an apartment in Cairo. I have been to the pyramids and sphinx a couple of time. My older son had his high school graduate in front of the sphinx and pyramids in 2003. Their senior pic is taken on one of the pramids.

Thnks I wanted to hold the lion cub longer, but he had othe ideas like playing maybe. Thanks I do worry about flying sometime. Sorry girl, we packed up laptops early yesterday and had only my cell, and I hate using it to be here. Thanks we are traveling around in our own car, we dont travel with the other tourists its safier that way. Thanks we sure have enjoyed our trip.

Glad to hear you made it safe. Cairo is one of those wishlist places that I doubt I will ever get to see outside of my television. Never made it any farther East than Maui, or any farther west than Colorado. I sadly don't even own a passport. :(

I'm sure you've heard about the second plane crash. Right now I'm really worried for you. I find myself wishing you'd take a cruise ship home when the time comes...
