It's going to be hot up here at Lake Woodrow Wilson this week, so there will be lots of boats on the water. If you are into boating, be sure to follow the following safety tips.

1. Don't drink and drive ( including on the water )
2. Make sure that there are approved flotation devices available for all passengers.
3. Wear approves crash helmets at all times
4. Make sure the driver of the boat can stand upright at all times.
5. Don't let an idiot drive.
6. High speed maneuvers during thunderstorms are not safe.
7. Auto-eject sunglasses are not advisable.
