I wish I could help with the yellow algae problem. I do know with green algae a product called, algaecide helps. Its best if before you start filling the pool, to wipe the walls of the pool down with the green algaecide. Its a great preventive measure to begin the season with. Probably any algaecide will do the same, if used in the same manner.

algaecide works wonders on green algae for sure! I think this might be the first year we have had mustard algae so I googled around and it takes a bit more work. Mainly cleaning EVERYTHING, then using TONS of chlorine! D: But I think I can handle it. Just need to work on it in the afternoons when the sun is lower.

Thanks! For right now the worst part of the sort of sun sickness is over (yay!) so now all I need to do is lather up with sunscreen when I go outside! I even bought a daily moisturizer with sunscreen in it.
