Same here, in the Texas Panhandle.

oh i see is it hot there most of the time or do you get some snow every once in a while ... when I joined the Army way back when I was stationed in Fort Bliss for Basic Training I was there from the end of January to the beginning of April and it was chilly in the morning but by the afternoon it was usually hot

Winters can have bitter days (by my standards). LOL, Laurie would probably consider them shirt sleeve weather. If it's not at least 60, I'm not a happy camper.

I totally understand that I grew up in Chicago in the Windy City when I retired I moved south to a warmer climate we still get some snow and cold weather but its not as intense as is was when i lived up in Chicago

I think I'd love to live in Baja California or somewhere in one of the small Central America countries. Belize, maybe.

central cali is a good place to live if you can find a small town to live in along the coast its not to bad of weather

well houses do sell and people do move to new places all the time ... thats is what i did i just packed up and moved one day down south I didnt even really know where I was going I had never been there before my wifes father got us the place and we just moved in without even looking at the place.. it was the middle of winter in Chicago it was January we just got a snow storm with like 12 inches of snow and there was another one on the way supposedly dropping 15 to 18 inches of snow... my wife's father called us up one night and said he had found a place to live real close to him he told us about it, so that night we talked about it and made a big decision to just pack up and move so when the weekend came and my kids were out of school we did just that moved to kentucky over the weekend we went from the city to country what a big change that was plus its a lot warmer down here compared to up there

Naw, this house has seen better days and I can't afford major repairs. I'm pretty much stuck here. If I had stayed in an apt. I could move any time I wanted anywhere I wanted.

your right there about an apt plus you dont have to worry about the repairs on it but it has it draws back too i guess like nosy neighbors I dont have that problem where i live no neighbors lol

See, I've always lived in town. I'm used to neighbors and I would actually hate to live where there are no people around. So living in an apt. is no hardship for me.
