As Cinderella always says.. A dream is a wish your heart makes . It could happen! So, the drinks they made, they actually layer like these do? I remember making white russians and flaming blues but that's about as fancy as it got. The layers must have something to do with weight/buoyancy or something I suppose. It'll be fun watching her and her friends try to pull them off thats for sure.

Yall use imgur right? Just right click-copy image then in imgur ctrl-v to paste it in your album. Hosting them ourselves is fine, as long as we don't edit/alter the images of course.

... that is hilarious! I am not suppose to have alcohol due to my medications but every bartender I have talked to will make me a mixed drink without the alcohol and MOST are really good! Bet those are also :)

I have kept ratties for pets and it never gets any easier. I learned how to put them down as part of a rodent care class and could do this effectively for other very sick rats but never my own. I am sorry for your loss.

It's been unseasonably warm here in LA. I've got windows and doors open and it's still 84 F (29C) inside. I went out to the park early this morning to sew some buttons while it was still cool. Of my cats' pica, one has a string fetish to the point of trying to actually eat thread, and the other has a fixation on needles. We're gonna have a marathon coming up this weekend and it was moved to Feb so the runners wouldn't overheat in the LA smoggy summer. Men plan, God laughs.

Wow those drinks look impossibly pretty. I'd be tempted to photograph and freeze them instead of eating them. Every year there's a nisei festival and one year there was an artist from Japan who could make any shape out of rice-malt sugar. He made me the most striking dragon with scales and claws a filament-sugar forked tongue it was so beautiful I couldn't eat it. Alas, this kind of sugarstuff stays somewhat amorphous so it sagged away.

I just could not live up there, I really couldn't. I have enough trouble with the small amount of snow and ice we get here, and unless it's 60 and above I don't want to go outside. hugs

: Oh, YES! Don't forget Ficklin Vinyards, home of the best port in the world. Yes, you are so very correct, the Fresno Madera area has some very fine vineyards and breweries too, I forgot. Tioga-Sequoia Brewery makes some very fine ale and IPA's. Nonini and Englemann Cellars are within a mile from my Author and his mate's ( and 's ) house. I've tasted Mr. Nonini's zinfandel wine and I like it very much, it's very good for a classic unfiltered Italian-style wine. Mr. Nonini says that the vines that they have in the front part of the vineyard are from Italian stock brought over in the mid 1920's and they were cultivated in the old world way with free-standing vines, not on trellises. I think that is what gives it it's stately flavor. I've not tasted Englemann's wine, but I think that my Author taught some of their children in his Chemistry class a few years ago. The high school where he used to teach is just down the lane from those two wineries. Blah blah blah. I get excited about Fresno, even though Weldon is somewhat of a stick-in-the-mud. He is quite appreciative of the military's role in Fresno during the war and the fact that the whole central coast is protected by the Air National Guard stationed in Fresno. I like wine, he likes jets...go figure.
