Im sitting on the backporch enjoying my peace and quiet before work. I have one little straggler Hummingbird that has not migrated yet and boy is he gobbling up the nectar from the feeder. He must be so happy that he doesn't have to compete with the others.

, hey, I'm where the hummingbirds migrate toward. Hope he finds me, I keep my feeders full and clean all year!

Awesome ! Me too on this end, and I leave them up for a few weeks after they migrate for the stragglers that haven't gotten a chance to fatten up as much as they need to. My mom used to have about 6 feeders along the back of her porch (very long porch) and she would get about 50 of them eating. It was so cool to watch. I dont get quite that many, but Im happy to feed the ones I do get.

Though life is beautiful, it's also just cruel in many ways and it's difficult to deal with the hard times, but we all go through them. I can only pray that my dad isn't as near the end as all these health issues make it seem. I wish he would participate more in life before it's too late. :/ He pretty much sleeps, or watches TV. Not even much interaction with us. And he won't stop smoking like a chimney!!!!!! >:( He's definitely more of the school, "I'm gonna die anyway let me do what I want!" rather than trying to get better and live longer. Which I understand, but at the same time, it's torture, I don't want to hand you the gun and watch you shoot yourself! sigh Anyway. Come what may, we've got each other, and I really appreciate that all of you are here to listen and care as well. <3 I told my mom that you all were thinking of and praying for them as well. She says thank you <3 Well, "Thank you kind humans." That is her thing <3 hehe We're weirdos and we love it. XD <3

my prays and thoughts are with you hope your step-dad feels better soon and maybe you can get him out of the house to do something with you and your child .... My Dad passed away 20 years ago on 22 Nov. 1995 and I miss him like crazy and regret not doing some of things with him that he asked me to do with him...

your welcome and yea the feelings never go away hell even time cant heal those wounds or brokenhearted feelings my mom is 71 and I am scared for her she told me shes not scared of dying when its her time then the good Lord is ready for her to come home to be with my dad it makes me sad to hear her say that but I know its going to happen just not yet she is very healthy and still works at the court house in Chicago
