I just got back from Market Day Dance in my village and holy smokes the place was hopping tonight. Everybody was in top form, the band played three-two hour sets and the ale flowed like water. Welly danced like he did when he was just a young pup on our first outing together. Market Day Dance is always like this on the Wednesday following a full moon and even more so in the Fall. This is the time when we start gathering our harvests, laying up stores for winter and gearing up for the births of litters that will winter over in the dens with their mums and pops. This is my favorite time of year, Autumn. I can hardly wait for Fireside, my favorite Subeta holiday when I get to interact with my patron saint, the Red Rreign.

Welly and I have taken our baths, he is curled up in his big arm chair with a book on ancient battles, a gooseberry brandy in his paw, looking so smart and wise in his smoking jacket ( I don't allow him to smoke his pipe inside ). I have on a filmy nighty and I'm closing my account books for the evening, tomorrow, I have three very pregnant mums to visit ( and possibly deliver ) and I want to get to bed early.
