Poor woman, if you have a sore throat drink some anise tea several times a day.

- I cannot drink anise tea! I have tried so many times! I'm trying to just stay hydrated in general. The fever went away for a couple of hours earlier, but it's on its way back. I can feel my skin starting to hurt again :( Throat's not really sore, just a raspy, barky cough, but a little bit of chest and sinus congestion with some occasional ear pain. I'm really hoping to be back on my feet by Tuesday.

Whew! I finally made it through the new puzzle. I'm glad to be done with it.

My sons' dont like the licorice taste of anise. I hope you feel better soon. Hopefully this is the last cold you will for the winter season.

what is the point of the new puzzle that says,

Two of a kind will combine, Up, down, left, and right To reach 512 will be fine A key to end your fight

the game board is a sliding tilting table.

If you press the left key, ALL THE TILES slide left. The same is true of the other keys, all the tiles will slide in that direction.

Each time you choose a direction and the tiles slide in that direction a new 2 tile is randomly placed on the board, poof!

If a tile slides into a tile that is exactly the same as it, it merges into a single tile with a value twice as much. This makes more room on the board, which you will need to win.

If no tiles merge, then your game is over in sixteen turns. Merging is necessary in order to make the game last longer.

You must make the game last long enough to get a value 512 tile. When you do, click Check Game (it won't declare a win automatically, only losses get announced automatically)

Your goal is to get a merge of two 256 value tiles into one 512 value tile. A sub goal is then to get some 128 tiles but probably not more than two or three given the limited game-space of sixteen squares.

I actually enjoyed the new game once I got the hang of it. I've actually gone to another site to play it some more.

The game is called 2048 and all the instructions and strategy I have seen describing it on the web are ...lacking. In particular a common defective instruction is 'use the arrow keys to move the tiles around'. If you could do that, you'd pick one tile and move that one tile up and then over, and then some other tile left and left and left, and a third tile down one etc. That is what 'moving tiles around' means.' And since the new tile doesn't appear wherever you want it any strategy that aims you to a particular corner will result in a checkerboard, which is a guaranteed fail.

: I'm going to bed, I wish you luck with the game. Do your best to match up tiles by sliding them into each other with your arrow keys. They add up as you go and eventually, you'll get one that says 512 on it. At that point, stop and 'Check The Puzzle'. You'll find a key then. the 512 looks like a scroll with red on it.

Thanks for the welcome back. My trip was ace, thanks. It was our little boy's first holiday and he had such a great time exploring the beaches and various nature walks and wildlife parks we visited. He also ate lots of sand. Still finding it in his nappies even now xD

How are you feeling now?

I'd like to work on my HAs more than I do. Got quite a bit in my wardrobe - still quietly going for the related achievements - but don't seem to have the time to work on it very often.

Well done for completing it! I managed it on my second try - more by luck than judgement though, i'm sure!
