Way back in Feb 2012, at the San Francisco Meat-Up, Mr. Keith made mention in passing about not doing much more with the snow faeries except to throttle back on their appearance as random events. He said at that time that there were no further plans to add anymore achievement tiers and that the snow faerie feature had pretty much run it's course.

I'm probably going to be a snow faerie before I reach the current goal...lol :)

Thanks , that explains why I'm not seeing very many this year. I'm with you , I'll probably be a bonkers fairy before this is over.

: At that Meat-up he went on to say that it would be possible to "free" snow faeries all year long, meaning that if you were able to trade or purchase them from others, that you could turn them in any time of the year, but that they would become more rare. When pressed about making it difficult for Subetans to earn achievements he said (paraphrased here ) "Some achievements are going to be more difficult to earn then others. Not all achievements are meant to be easy, that would diminish the purpose of having an achievement." I guess that makes sense, but that was also three years ago and I still haven't earned the acheivement for capturing snow faeries yet...bleah!

and ...What really "frosts" my fairy behind is that I'm only 22 away from the "Catch A Fairy" achievement. There just haven't been many random events this year where they're showing up. (Harrumph) :)

I agree with and double that bleah , it's one of the things I like about Subeta, that the achievements are less stress to aquire than at other sites. Oh well, I don't need ot release any, guess I'll just keep looking for them.

I have more fairies in the trades for free for any body who still needs them

When I started putting all of my items in my shop individually, I started finding more fairies. You might try it too. It's a pain, but it might help.

I have the fairy achievements. I still need to throw snowballs, but it doesn't seem to be possible at the moment...

I think I still need those too. I bought a ton of snowballs last year and then never threw them. No idea what's going on with the catapult this year. Amber...I think it was Amber...was in the shoutbox and mentioned it's normally opened during the second week or so.
