I hope so too. I'm hoping that if I can get all the credit stuff sorted and paid, I can maybe get a car and license this year. The long-shot goal for the next few years would be to get the little plot of land at the bottom of our road that always goes up for sale during the summer and put a small trailer on it. I'd be out of the house, but close enough for the boys to escape to for a night if they need it. Doubtful it will happen, but I can dream.

I think some of you have been wondering about Aiya and what is going on with her. She has had a very difficult year. I just spoke to her and got permission to share with you all what's up :D
She lost her father first of all and that was hard and so intensely difficult. A little while back she found out she has colon cancer. She is up and positive about it. This is what she posted on fb this week.

To all my Facebook friends, as I mentioned a couple weeks back, I tested positive for colon cancer. CAT scan today and surgery on Feb. 24 th. The prognosis is that I will be 100% by the end of March. To say this has been a hellish year for me is an understatment of great magnitude. I hope this is the end of my trauma/drama ... much love to all

She sends her love to everyone here and thinks of you often. Mostly she wanted to emphasize the 100% part and that she will be back! If you have any specific questions, just ask me privately!

School is not the only place in the world. My 15 yr old son is miserable in school. His teacher often lets me know and in his report card every grade is followed by: he could do better if he did the homework/tried more in class/put in more effort. I need to start telling him that school is not the only place in the world. He is a great kid. Your brother has you and your mom and his teacher in his corner; that counts for so much!
