Oh man, that poor thing must be driving you crazy and going crazy too. I hate it when one of our kids are suffering, Ive wished about all my life I could speak dog or cat so I could help them.

Battling the only thing speed seems to do is help avoid critical hits (crits) and with the right defense and a strong pet, you would survive a crit anyway. So training or boosting your pet to anything above 2500 - 3000 speed to some battlers is taking up stat space. I'm not sure what UltimateFriend has ( 's battler) but Doc (), Jenn () and I have over 5000 speed built up on our pets - with enough leeches from the battle shop we could take away those spare 2000 stats that don't seem to do much and boost or train something else once the cap's removed.

The only problem is we put a lot of time and dedication into training our pets evenly and aren't willing to take away any stats worthless or not, LOL!

And Im tired but felt good enough to actually eat a meal tonight - salad, creamy chicken and broccoli hotdish and even managed half of a half of a nutty bar for snack. So far so good!

The hollow is so random it makes me crazy! I prefer to forget it exists and find something else to do xD

Logically it makes perfect sense to leech away stats from areas that seem overkill but I just can't do it. On the plus side, there's an achievement for getting to 5k speed so I can always say thats why she's got that many, lol!

Doc, MrCool, Jenn, Freddy, anyone who might know - when the cap is finally raised, we WILL be able to train right? It's not just for boosting is it? Because I've only got a little bit of wiggle room level wise and if we get back into the training school there aint no way Im wasting time on training that!

Nope, the stat cap is based on your pet's total strength, defense, health and speed stats. You can only boost intel and level once you're pet is capped and you're not able to use the training school. The only thing level is good for is training so that one is a moot point unless you're trying to up your pet's rank (thats how I see it anyway) The latest change is your capped pet will no longer gain any exp from battling opponents.

That stressed ME out, to the point that I screamed at him. I do not like being that person, so I said enough and gave up. I get vertigo from time to time and it's not pleasant, though your experience sounds far worse than any bout I've ever had. I always describe it to people like it's motion sickness on dry, unmoving land or it's that feeling like you've been on a boat all day, except you weren't on a boat. that explains why my intel boosters always give my pets 0!!! Will exp be usable under tier 12 or is exp gone for everyone? I hope you are better. I got a bad cold today and vertigo is back to I'm a mess. Most of the kids aren't home and food is cooked for the Sabbath by someone else. Yippee. Back to bed... :p

Im not sure what the reasoning was behind wiping all exp for tier 12 pets was, unless they couldn't find a way to wipe the slate clean for capped pets while leaving earned exp untouched for non-capped tier 12 pets. The way it works now is if you battle with a capped pet, you won't earn any exp. If your pet is not capped, you earn exp no matter what tier they're in.

I've been sitting here stunned at the changes. I haven't battled once since the changes were announced last night(and had trouble sleeping last night). I never even considered that the cap would be raised to over 30k. I was hoping for 28k and I thought that was a real stretch! Healing being tied to speed doesn't bother me at all as long as they don't make it ridiculous(which they have a tendency of doing)! The thing that I can't grasp is the tripling of EXP per stat point. I've actually considered continuing to BQ with the pets I've been working on to get them up to 22k, since their EXP/stat wasn't nerfed, and just using boosters on my 4 formerly capped pets but I have to get at least one up to the new cap. So if I get a pet up to the new cap, should I go with Demigod(my first capped pet) or Asher Basher(pet with the highest intel) or Hercules(pet that already has 5k spd). I wish we knew all the changes that are coming, especially the speed/heal issue. I hate trying to make decisions with only a portion of the data required! So I'm just sitting here trying to figure out where to start! :P

Intel (scrolls) are going to play a huge part against the new challengers, Doc. I took on the painted buttwings and barely eeked out 5 wins. When there was no reward drop for getting them I thought enough of that and spent some time battling Saggi instead.

The painted beast is a chain freezing fanatic, with 150 AP I can only equip so many freezers and once they ran out, I didn't make it past the first round he was able to get a shot at the Lady. I think continuing with Asher Basher because of the intel is the place to start - but only as a starting point. Once we figure out the speed thing you may want to switch to Hercules.

I'm not interested in capping out again so I'm going to continue on doing BQs like always. Most of my BQ battles will be fought by Spirit and Involution. If they come out with a challenger that drops some loot that I simply can not live without, I'll use boosters on the Lady until she's tough enough to get the wins I need for them.

We're still caught in the winds of change with this so the best decision is to do what we've always done until everything has been settled and the winds die down if ya ask me. Besides with the challenger reset, its gonna take some time to get all your pets their shiny new win records, may as well get started!

Yes, I feel that Asher Basher would make the most sense since she is the highest ranked pet I have. My problem with that is Demigod is only 750 intel points behind Ash, which could be made up. Demigod needs strength and I have about 3k worth of strength boosters from the black Friday sale. Ash needs health and I don't have those boosters. Of course Ash with 3k more strength would be pretty awesome too!

I appreciate thoughts from anyone but it's also good for me to sound things out for myself here :)

You have a hard choice to make. Personally I am sitting, waiting and watching to get a feel of what the changes mean and how the speed/health thing works. If speed is as critical to health as it could be I say go with the capped pet with the most speed, Hercules.
