Battle of the Bands is coming up in North Carolina and there are reports of a snow storm but when has the weather ever gotten that bad? All the bands are in their hotel rooms, tensions high or just a couple of friends hanging out. As this battle of the bands will get you a record deal with an article in Rolling Stones! Only the best will win. With the snow storm approaching will the battle of the bands happen or will the bands have to put on their own show in the hotel?

Appearance: Garret stands at about 5' 7" and has a tattoo of a winged heart on the back of his neck.

Personality: Garret not only looks but acts younger than what he is. He's very mischievous despite being a legal adult, and he usually goes around causing trouble (Hiding instruments and such). Since he has had no real "male leader" in his life for a long time, he looks up to Matt to fit the "older brother" application for that.

Short Bio: Garret was raised by his mother for most of his life, his father leaving them when he was only 2 years old. Other than that, he lead a pretty normal life, and started playing the guitar at a young age, which he seemed to be a born natural for. After a while, he left his mother to join CR at the age of 17.

Name: Rourke McMinn Age: 23 Gender: Male Sexuality: Straight Appearance: Car ride there! Shenanigans Unpictured chest tattoo Personality: Rourke is a bit of an odd one. Friendly as can be, but quick to be an asshole. Not afraid to speak his mind, he's a bit too honest at times, with no care to whom he offends. Although very foul mouthed, he's an elegant speaker. Drinks enough to make alcoholics look silly, and yet can keep his composure (He quotes his favorite show, Archer. "I'm afraid that if I stop drinking all at once, the cumulative hangover would literally kill me" and that might as well me true.) He prefers the term "High functionig alcoholic". His sense of humor is quite twisted and hard to understand. He's an acquired taste. Short bio: Rourke grew up in Texas, did his thing, graduated highschool and all that. Job searching lead him to move to Boston with his cousins, where he put together a band. After that didn't work out, he moved around, taking up jobs here and there, until he came across yet another band who needed a vocalist, the Cursed revolution. Been with them ever since. Name: Richard 'Richie' McAllen Age: 22 Gender: Male Sexuality: Pansexual Appearance: Richie is about 5'9'' and way too skinny for his height making him look vaguely skeletal, which is just accentuated by his choice of attire - a plain tank top with skinny jeans and heavy boots, along with a beanie sat atop his head. Of course, he brings a hoodie with him wherever he goes but you'll probably never see him wearing it inside or on stage. He has, also, yet to get any tattoos and piercings due to a phobia of needles he's had since childhood and refuses to explain. Personality: Richie is quite outgoing, fun-loving and impulsive. He'd rather just do things without thinking of the consequence and worry about it later, but that's just how he is. He can also be quite blunt and almost brutally honest, and he's a sceptic, too. He prefers science over the supernatural but he doesn't mind his bandmates believing in that kind of stuff as long as they don't try to force it on him. He'll believe if he wants to. Richie can also be quite stubborn, but is known to give up on an argument if the other person makes a good enough, valid point as to why they're right. Short Bio: Richie actually got into music thanks to his next-door neighbour, who was the only son of the family that lived there, and the two of them played guitar together, eventually teaching each other a few things. Eventually, though, his only friend went off in a band of his own leaving Richie to practice alone in his room all throughout highschool. He'd tried dabbling in a few bands before now, but none of them have felt as right for him as the one he's in now. North Carolina...the place where a band's dreams could come true! With the Battle of the Bands one lucky winner would get a record deal and that's what Marilyn wanted for the band. Even though there was talk of an impending snow storm but that didn't scare Marilyn, it would probably be only a couple of inches anyway. Kaylee took care of signing the band in as Marilyn anxiously awaited her best friend, Matt, arrive. Cursed Revolution was only a half hour behind them anyway. Marilyn turned to Kaylee as she approached the band.

"We're all set. I got us two rooms as two of us can share a double and the rooms are connecting. Richie you get to have your own bed in the next room unless you want to room with all the estrogen. Let's go get our stuff up and ready. I also learned a couple of bands are already checked in on that floor. Toxic Chaos and Cursed Revolution are right near us so we can mingle or scope them out. Hotel also has a rehearsal hall and we can practice there later." Kaylee explained to everyone as she handed out the keycards. She adjusted the bass case on her back. "You're drums are going to be stored in the concert hall and I made sure no one will touch it." Kaylee looked to her sister to which she received a thumbs up.

"Is the place haunted?" Marilyn asked Kaylee to which she waved her hand dismissing the comment. "I'm not asking that. You two want to find out go ahead. I'm not joining." Kaylee said as she walked over to grabbed the cart of their luggage from one of the staff. Marilyn rolled her eyes as she looked over to Richie, "I think she's a little worried about the storm but I bet it's only going to be like an inch or two. It's being way blown out of proportion and all this worried energy from her is not good for mine." She said to him. She scratched the back of her head, "That's how it always is isn't it? Blown out of proportion?" She asked the two band members who stood there.

"Maybe? Why are you even asking me? I don't watch the news Marilyn." Avery crossed her arms as she looked over to Richie, "I think we should put it out of our mind and figure out the rooming situation as we are still standing in the lobby. After that we should hang out or explore the hotel. Being in that van for too long I need to stretch." Avery spoke before looking back at her sister as she was a little uptight lately. If they had a fun time then the snow would get off her mind.

Matt looked in the rear view mirror at his band mates. "After this exit we should be in town!" He smiled a goofy grin. He was excited for this Battle of the Bands especially after Marilyn had brought up he should go with Cursed Revolution as a friendly competition. It was a great idea and he was happy for it and even if they didn't win, it would be a great chance for exposure for the band. "I think White Fang beat us there but don't worry we will beat them in the battle for the record deal!" He laughed.

The journey to the hotel couldn't have been any more torturous to Richie, who's knees had been bouncing as soon as he'd set foot in their van. He was excited, but that was understandable. But the journey had tired him out, and he was ready to just face-plant into the bed that he'd be calling his own for a while. Whilst, before, he couldn't wait to arrive, now he just couldn't wait to get to the room. So, happily, he took the keycard from Kaylee and slipped it into his pocket beside his phone, where he knew it'd be safe for a little while.

But when she started talking, he turned her attention to her with a smile and a shrug, "Man, I don't mind my own bed. I'll probably be chilling with you ladies more often than not, anyway, and, whilst I wouldn't mind sharing a bed, I wouldn't want any of you to feel uncomfortable." Richie gave a soft chuckle, and gripped at the guitar strap over his shoulder. There was a grin on his face that'd been there since he'd stepped foot into the hotel, and it probably wasn't going to be leaving any time soon.

"This storm..." He rolled his eyes, then glanced over at Marilyn instead, "It's probably nothing. But, yeah, I hear that. Best not to worry about it. You're right." And, as though on cue, he stretched his arms up above his head, "And if the snow does get too deep, I'll just grab a shovel and tunnel the way out." Richie joked, pretending to flex, until his hands dropped.

"So, should we just, like, get our stuff sorted out then go explore? Or explore now, sorting out later? Because, whether this place is haunted or not, I think it's gonna be our home for a while and I think it'd be good to get to know the layout. That and I wouldn't mind chilling out and stretching out before the other bands get here."

Zackary yawned and stretched his arms in the air as he exited the van and followed the others into the hotel. The ride was long and tired him out as well. His eyes glanced around the room at the walls and ceiling of the building. Everything looked so nice and fancy. As he listened to the others talking about the concert and rehearsing halls he once again began to get his excitement back, though he stayed quiet. He placed his hands in the pockets of his hooded sweatshirt and smiled softly continuing to listen.

Michael almost literally jumped out of the passenger's side of the Toxic Chaos van before it had time to come to a complete stop. He happily laughed looking up at the hotel building. Moments after, the van came to a full stop and the engine turned off. The side van door slid to the side and too bright haired kids jumped out simultaneously. The driver's door could be heard closing and Alexander walked to the side that everyone was standing around.

"Dang it, Mikey. Can't you wait til I stop the car at least?" Xander asked with a laugh. Michael turned from the building to look at the drummer and smile widely. "Aw, but what fun would that be?" Lilly ran over and hung her arm around Mikey's neck, giggling excitedly. "Hey! Shouldn't we go check in?" "Yeah, I'm exhausted," Aiden sighed as he shut the side door and then the passenger side that Mikey forgot to close in all his excitedness.

"So let's go!" Mikey turned around and ran forward to the doors of the building, making Lilly stumble forward in his sudden absence. The three others soon followed Mikey through the doors to the lobby where they saw one of their rival bands, White Fang, who must've just arrived shortly before they did. Mikey gave a big smile and nod to the group before hurrying past them to the reception desk to check in. There would be plenty of time for him to talk later.

Lilly on the other hand, who lived to make friends, gracefully danced her way over and bowed respectfully to the band. "Hello there. I am Lilly." She smiled once she rised from her bow. "I'm excited to be playing against you in the contest." While Lilly was excited about winning the record deal, she was more excited to hear what all the other bands they were up against are capable of. As Zack saw the new band come in he slowly shifted behind his other band members as to be less noticeable.

[I]"I hope we get there soon, I gotta piss like a russian race horse!"[/I] Rourke chimmed up from the back, clinking the bottles of beer his hands were duct-taped to. Somehow, the gas station they had stopped at previously didn't have 40's, so big bottles of Corona worked for mr.40 hands.

Rourke McMinn, the lead singer of Cursed Revolution, was excited. Their first potentially big break was coming up. This battle of the bands could get them on the map with the record deal they would get from winning. He could line up shows all day, but without a major label recording your stuff, how would your name get out to the rest of the world.

He drained he rest of the beer, noting it only took him 10 minutes to drink both this time, and bit the duct tape a bit, pulling it off his wrists a bit. He reached forward, holding his hands out next to Matt. [I]"Do me a solid, dude, pull that piece of tape off a bit more for me! And tell me about this chick who got our names on his list!"[/I] He said, clinking the bottles together once again.

Name: Lu Blackwell, legally Lucifer….yeah apparently his parents didn’t care about his social life. Age: 22 Gender: Male Sexuality: Demisexual Appearance: Lu is a fairly tall fellow who stands about 6’1. He is biracial, being African American x Arabic, thus has nice light brown skin with a few nicks and scars over his face, oddly enough. He is pretty athletic and masculine, often deemed the muscle. He usually keeps black brown hair tied back in a short ponytail. He has an obsession with wearing goggles and colored sun glasses that obscures his eyes. Personality: Aggressive invert and nearly quiet most of the time. He is aggressively humble and always seems to come off aloof. He often doesn’t consider his guitar skills remarkable even though he is professionally fantastic. He is friendly and actively contributes to the band but comes off unwittingly too quiet for his own good. He dislike parties and large crowds and usually opts out of going to any after party. Thanks to his odd dislike towards alcohol he is usually always labeled as designated driver. Band: Cursed Revolution Band Position: Lead Guitarist Crush: None so far. Gotta butter him up first. Other: Sometimes pulls up the race card to make everyone around him feel awkward. Since he is the only few ethnics around.

Name: Serendipity Merrieweather, Seren or Squiggy Age: 19 Gender: Female Sexuality: Conflicted and unknown thanks to strict upbringing. Appearance: Seren Personality: She is an extremely awkward person who resorts into rambling a lot. She is a bit of a motor mouth who tend to contradict herself when placed on the spot or simply unsure of her correctness. She painfully tries to be with it but realizes that most of her actions are due to peer pressure and the need to rebel against her mother’s damaging tyranny after all these years. But otherwise she is a very friendly person, though a little on the geeky side. She is very outgoing but tends to lock up when feeling alienated or stressed. She is a bit of a goody two-shoes for she very antagonistic towards drinking, drug use and smoking. Avery looked to Richie, "I could care less if we did share a bed, it's your call." Avery looked up to Richie before hearing her sister snicker, "Yeah but you talk in your sleep and you're a blanket hog. I don't think anyone will want to sleep in the same bed as you." Kaylee said to her sister, "Richie I don't think any of us would mind if shared a bed with us." She said to Richie. Avery rolled her eyes before she took the baggage cart from her sister, "Let's claim our beds and go explore. Though someone shouldn't let Marilyn run off as she may get lost." Avery smiled to the blonde.

"That was one time! I thought I heard a ghost and I somehow got lost!" Marilyn explained as Avery brought up the ghost investigation at the asylum she went with her old band. Matt would never let her live that down and teased her often about it. "I brought the ghost equipment and I bet Matt brought his!" Marilyn smiled as she looked to Zack, "Do you want to come with us? Or settle in?" She asked him as she was more excited than on the car ride here. She noticed another band enter and it wasn't Cursed Revolution as she did not see Mat at all. She noticed the boy smile at them briefly before running to the front desk.

Kaylee offered the girl a warm smile, "Nice to meet you! I'm Kaylee the less annoying Jefferson sister." She introduced as Avery raised her eyebrows, "I'm not annoying Kaylee. I'm Avery and I'm not annoying at all." She smiled at Lily, "You guys must be Toxic Chaos right?" Avery asked. Kaylee noticed Zack hide behind the band mates and smiled, "Our other band mate, Zack, is hiding behind these lovely two. He's a bit shy." Kaylee smiled as she gestured behind Richie, Avery and Marilyn. "I'm Marilyn and you guys have some very high energy, I like that." She smiled as she waved. "I'm excited too, I can't wait to hear you guys play." Kaylee smiled.

Matt laughed, "Hey you shouldn't of drank too much!" He laughed at Rourke. Matt took the exit to the town as it was only a little while longer before they arrived. Maybe even minutes! He wasn't sure since he didn't make himself with the area, that's why he loved GPSes. Matt turned to Rourke and helped him. "Marilyn? She's pretty cool man. We were in a previous band together called, The Investigators. Band by day, ghost investigators by night! It was awesome but the band didn't survive very long. She's like my little sister and her band mates are wicked cool too. Avery likes the whole ghost investigation too!" Matt spoke as he was eager to see his friend again.

"I'm really not fussy, I wouldn't mind sharing a bed with anybody who wouldn't mind me sprawling out and rolling around a lot. Whether it be any of you lovely ladies, or Zackie, I'm not fussy. I'll take whoever can put up with me." Richie flashed a grin in Zack's direction before his attention was drawn to the other people running into the hotel. A confused look crossed his features for just a moment before he realised that they were probably one of the other bands, and they seemed just as excited to be there as he and the other members of White Fang were.

But when a girl approached them, and he noticed Zack shuffle behind them, he couldn't help the smile that tugged at his lips. She seemed nice enough. Actually, he was hoping to get to talk to some of the other bands before the show because it'd be a heated contest, with each band trying their best, and he'd hate to have any bad blood between any of them. Plus, he loved making new friends.

As the other talked, he turned to glance at Zack, to ask if he was alright and to sling an arm around his friend's shoulders. He still smiled at Lilly, though, and gave a bit of a wave, "I'm Richie, by the by. Nice to meet you." He gave a playful wink and a probably-too-wide grin before giving Zack's shoulder a bit of a reassuring squeeze. He knew how shy the younger boy could be when it came to large groups and he just hoped that his bit of reassurance would help Zack feel a bit more comfortable.

"I wonder when the other band will get here - it'll be so cool to just chill with everybody and scope out the competition." He said, mainly to himself but probably loud enough for people to hear his musings.

IC: Garret had been snoozing in the back of the car, knees resting against Matt's seat. At the sound of Matt's laugh he slowly opened his eyes, making something between a yawn and a gurgling sound. "Geeeeeehhhhh..." He said, writhing to get into an upright position. "Morning guys... it is morning right?" He said, oblivious to the fact that it was afternoon, until he looked at the clock on the stereo after rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "Nevermind." He said, sticking his tongue out.

[I]"It was that superbiggulp of Mtn. Dew that did it, not the beer! You know for a FACT a few beers won't do it for me."[/I] Rourke said matter-of-factly, before turning to Garrett [I]" 'Mornin', Lazy-ass! How was your nap?"[/I] He asked, playfully smacking Garrett's cheek with his free hand, before ripping the duct tape off the other hand. He turned back to Matt. [I]"Sounds cool. Gotta thank her when we get there. Speaking of, GPS says left on that road up there, and the hotel wil be on the right! Crank up the radio for the roll in!"[/I] He said, leaning back in his seat. He grinned, a crooked, lopsided yet charming smile, in anticipation of the fun that was about to be had.

Zack looked over to Marilyn as he heard his named called. He thought over all the possibilities of each choice and came to the conclusion that while ghost hunting could end up being scary, it would beat sitting in a room bored to death. He nodded his head gently. "I would like to come." He smiled softly and then turned to Richie who spoke of sleeping arrangements. "I don't mind sleeping with whoever either."

Lilly giggled softly at the sisters. She looked to everyone as they were introduced and gave them each a smile. "It's nice to meet you all as well." She returned a wide grin to Richie. Zack nodded to Richie to signal that he was alright. His eyes widened and he jumped when Richie's arm rested across his shoulders, but he didn't pull away or reject it. He thought he should be used to it by now, but maybe someday. Lilly smiled at Zack's shyness and thought it was kind of cute. She then looked behind her to see the other two boys talking to each other, probably about the song they were going to be playing. "Guys! Get over here and be social!" She motioned for them to move closer.

Aiden's head perked up at his sister's voice and looked over too her. "Yeah, yeah..." He then began walking over to her, followed by Xander. Lilly turned back to the group with her still wide grin. "This is my little brother, Aiden and my adopted older brother, Xander." Aiden waved his hand in a greeting, while Xander bowed similar to how Lilly had. "Nice to meet you." "Mikey is our other member," Lilly paused to glance at the counter. "He's the one checking in now." Her eyes widen as she realized she had not yet answered Avery's question. "Oh! Yes, we are Toxic Chaos. If I did my researching right, you guys must be White Fang?" Once the list of bands came available, Lilly made sure to look up each one of them. One, to know the competition and two, to listen to new and great music.
