I think that we've gotten confused on the purpose of this change. It isn't as a sP sink or to remove more sP from circulation, but to streamline the process. Haggling was one of those features we brought over from Neopets to make the sites seem similar and not confusing to move from and didn't actually make much sense.

Most users don't haggle, some users even pay more if the price is easier to do 2222 to (even if the price is 2201 or something) and it just isn't something that needed to be there. Now you click the item, you've got the item. The process is much much easier.

And it's worked!

That's the number of item purchases today from user shops and main shops. That number hasn't been that close together in years.

I'm not concerned about autobuyers :)

For sure, and people are buying a few extra items because of the buff :)

Except everyone knew exactly what you could get away with when you haggled, there was an exact limit to it.
