if we were to get an update you would think we would get something nice like the other areas rather than a bunch of boxes.
UGGGHH I have been wanting the main shops area to get a nice map like the other lands for soooo long. That really would have been nice to see with this "update" :(
All of this.
I don't like the change. It feels like the inventory or the currencies pages... instead of another section of the Subeta World. I would really rather a Subeta World Mall or something? And while it is nice that all the shops are there, it really does make the shop links on other parts of the map seem obsolete. Maybe if there was a section for shops from other parts of the map (Imported Goods)? I just... I dunno. This just seems too sterile? And kinda like... you just wanted to make it too much like some of the other pages (currencies) instead of more like the other parts of the map. Bad choice. :C I'd rather wait till artists could get around to it than get this.
Right now the main shops page looks like a bunch of items, like a wishlist or the inventory page or whatever.

^ this. I really don't like this change. I preferred the store fronts. The new page looks too much like wishlists... Rather than showing the items, I think I would prefer the page just to have the shop names.
Or why not use a smaller picture of the NPC with the shop name, if you you don't want to make new/revamp old shop fronts?
Would it be possible to custom-order the shops? That way, each user could put shops they find most useful or important at the top.

Maps as a whole are becoming obsolete. I can only think of a handful* of things that you can't find anywhere else. It does make things more convenient, but still I'm on the fence about it.
(Edited because I sounded super melodramatic.)
*I'm not counting little things like the gardens, farmers market, or pina park trash can, because honestly no one uses them.
Bookmarks.

The page could use a bit more organising and I do miss the shop fronts, but other than that I like that they are all on one page now. I think for the most part I'll still be using the widget though X3
As for the Gardens, Farmer's Market, and Trash Can There are times where I do use the garden and market. Trash can, not really, because the times I've checked nothing has been there.

this is kinda nice! it has most of the stores, so we dont have to hunt them down ^^
I absolutely hate it. It looks messy and unorganized. I liked the store fronts, and I, like others, had been expecting an actual map. Now I don't want to go on that page to mindlessly click like I used to.
The update for the main shop page hurts to look at. Perhaps the old art was just that, outdated and old, but it had character and felt like there were actually individual virtual shops. Now it is lacking anything special about it and yes, looks like a wishlist page or an inventory page. Pages are beginning to all look the same. I will agree that having the shops together can be an advantage, I am an avid restocker, but I liked going to different parts of the maps for some shops. It was traveling subeta but now I feel like subeta is becoming just a page of clicks. I suppose I have to adjust, but nope, it will never really be a fun page to visit anymore, at least not for me.
Drama or llama? I'll take the llama :D
(Right now the main shops page looks like a bunch of items, like a wishlist or the inventory page or whatever.)
That was my first impression, too. I get that it's easier to just use items, but I really preferred the storefronts. I wish they could have just revamped the old storefront images. Was it really so hard to do that?
Nice that all the shops are in one place but now it's too...stark? The shop fronts made it feel like you were outside.
eeeeh, i have mixed feelings about this update.
on one hand, having all the shops on one page is SUPER convenient. but on the other hand, it looks cluttered and disorganized.
on top of that, i'm not really a fan of having items represent the shops. i was really hoping for a new map, or updated store fronts.
I hate it. I don't understand why it would have been such a bad thing to re-vamp the icons and draw new ones. I also hate that ALL the shops are there - basically rendering the lovely art on all the other world areas useless for the shops.
And the idea of adding more to an already cluttered page (ala Other Currency, I'm guessing?) just makes me dread ever having to go to that page and ugh. Just... Ugh.
Not a fan. This was the lazy and cost effective way to update the page and it shows. Well done.

I'm going to echo others and say I really miss the store front images. Seems lazy to slap on an item image for the store. I am glad the other stores are now included on the page though! Much easier to get to.
Ok, I am not a big complainer, but making the icons items from each store feels lazy to me. Getting to see the storefronts was fun.
Alsoooo, having all the shops on one page feels lazy as a user. Like, I can already click a button to buy quest items now, etc. I feel like why do we even need a world map? Let's just make pages for things like all the vending machines on one page.
But if I had to have anything, it would be to have the storefronts back, and new icons for any storefront on the main shops page. Main shops to me always seemed like the High Street of Subeta, and other shops you have to actually travel to. Unless now the main shops page is a teleporter?
Lair Bears Dance Mix! (play it on shuffle)
I loved the idea of the old storefront images but I understand that it would take (too) much time to redraw them all so I'm okay with the change. In fact I'd much rather like to see more pet art or regular items than a bazillion of storefront items being made. :)
Totally agree. Yay for adding almost all the shops, it makes RS easier, but… I really loved the old shop images. It used to look like I was entering in a Pokemon-like city, with all the shops icons. So badass.

...It's pretty bad. I really miss the little shop fronts, which at least created some illusion of a little shopping community which existed somewhere in the Subeta world. I don't even care that the art was old; they were small enough that it didn't matter too much. This is just so clinical.
While I get that this was done because the maps are confusing, it does kind of erode a lot of the spirit of exploration that makes Subeta fun.
Yeah I think, without the store fronts, it's a very anonymous and bland page. It doesn't really immerse you into the world of Subeta. Having all the shops in a central location is not a bad idea at all, though. I wouldn't mind seeing Subeautique and the Millionaire Centre included too.
