I understand the want to put things all in one place. However, I enjoy browsing the site. Now it just seems like there is very little effort in going to the stores from specific areas. The idea of making things easier though, is a good one. This is just not my cup of tea. Meh, I'll get used to it.

I have to agree with Gunnarr in that it looks/feels like an inventory list rather than a page of NPC shops. It is nice to have most if not all of them on one page rather than having to remember where they are and hunt them down from the Explore map.

I hate it. Click the link, I'm not bothering to resize it.

And before anyone says - yes, I do have customCSS that has never done this until the past week about when the copyright footer returned.

R.I.P beautiful storefronts. It was cute and made the shop more interesting. I would have prefered a slow revamp of their images. Now we get a bland item and it's not really nice anymore.

It's like removing our map and changing everything for clicking links.

Please, don't do this.

I admit I really thought I was redirected to somewhere else the first time I went to the shops page. Considering that the times I end up there is when I accidentally click the wrong thing... I use the sidebar widget and I think I'll be sticking with it anyway.

Also, I have a pretty large screen but I play on here with the browser at around half size (double browsing here) so I get to view the horrible overlapping images along with whatever is on the end of the rows being cutoff by the side of the layout. I'm not going to make my browser full screen just to play on here. It's bad enough that I have to fiddle with browser size just to play Caliph's Tomb.

Wow. This is...bad. I agree with everyone who says this is lazy and half-assed, because it is. This also makes the world maps almost useless.

What you should have done is made a mall map of the stores that were already there, and then put some sort of portal there, that then took you to a page where it had a listing of where other shops could be found.

(EX: You can find XXX and YYY in Shadowglen!)

Seriously, you are so busy fixing things that aren't even broken right now, and yet, it still takes me an eon to get forum threads to load.

Priorities. Find them.

The layout will take a while to get used to (could we lose the boxes and have them a bit tighter together on the page, just so it doesn't look like the wishlist - that might help to make it feel less spread out, while still making it possible to navigate?), but I definitely think it's a great idea to have all the shops together as previously it was a nightmare for new people to find where the darned shops were hiding ;)

I do miss the old shop front images, but I can see why you don't want to devote an artist to just doing that. Maybe that's an idea for a future contest - for us to draw the shop fronts, so we can have the "looking at the shop from outside" feel, without the staff artists needing to devote time to it?

I'm... not very fond of it. I'll get used to it, but in all honesty I liked the older layout better. While putting all the shops in one place does make things very convenient, it also makes the maps a bit redundant. And everything looks very impersonal now. The shop fronts were old, true, but they were very cute and you got the impression of entering an actual shop. Now it's just an image icon of the item. Like I said, it's kind of impersonal.

Honestly, it confused me. I thought I was looking at my inventory at first glance and not noticing any thing but the item images first thing. I miss the building art. :( The Thimble & Co. shop was so nice.

Hate it. This is the shop list widget for our sidebars on a page. I get that staff is trying to make things simpler/streamlined/convenient/etc and they have a LOT to do already, but considering one of the biggest draws to this site is the art, this "revamp" is a letdown and feels kinda lazy. I loved when we got the new maps during the Councillor Cruise and I was expecting a map for this when our amazing artists got around to it. This looks just like the new wishlist home page and nothing like a bunch of shops, some of which have no place there since they're already on area maps.

Anyone who wants the shop links in one place has the sidebar widget for quick, convenient access to ALL shops. Map please.

Hmm. I like that it was updated, but I miss seeing the store front icons. As others have said, it looks like a wishlist or inventory.

Okay, after trying to like this change initially I've now decided that I really don't like it at all. My biggest issue isn't how clunky the page is right now since that should get organized down the road, though that's really a pain right now too. My problem is that I now have almost zero reason to explore the world map anymore, which was mostly facilitated when I was restocking. I actually really dislike not needing to go click through the different worlds. To me that's a big part of Subeta and should be something people are driven to explore continuously, and I feel like this change sort of just nullified use of the world map quite a bit.

This just keeps getting worse, not to mention uglier. There are even shops missing now that used to be on the main page of shops. :( The world map areas is bad enough for new players to navigate around, because they have no clue where to click on things. Just randomly move your mouse around and click and hope it does something? LoL

thanks for the updates, (unsure of the categories vs just plain alphabetized names just yet) but i like all the stores in one place and i don't mind the items, i see a coat i know its the clothing shop or shoes for sole train etc.. not sure of all the complaints of it now making the world map useless, i still use that a great deal for training, fragging, recycling, jobs, and questing etc. - seems like it rings true of that saying "there is no pleasing all the people all the time" :P

I really don't like this revamp. When I first clicked the tab I thought I opened up someone's wishlist page. Even if it was old fashioned, I preferred the old neopets-style navigation.

At least it's organized into sections... so it's better? But I still don't like it.
