Our uptime has been getting better, and on a graph is steadily improving. It will never be perfect. Facebook was down for 40 minutes two nights ago - a site with literal billions of dollars to spend on servers and architects. Twitter crashes any time they release a new feature for a few days while the kinks are worked out, Neopets has been constantly down or in stages of intense lag for two months now. This is not exclusively a Subeta problem - when we release new features (like giant plots) regardless of how well they are coded and tested, there are going to be things that we miss, and they are going to cause server issues.
I know this sounds like an excuse but there will never be a such thing as perfect uptime.

Flight Rising also had a big kickstarter and was able to start from scratch programming wise in the year 2012 or whatever. We've got a lot of baggage. If we could raise a ton of money on kickstarter for a complete site rewrite I'd do it :P
