I support this SO much, why gender perfectly nice clothing items it just feels so... Old Fashioned
1-2 are 'affected' by the base, but I feel like that could either be a consequence and you just get to layer around it, or maybe they get a tiny little revamp. Not sure. The non-base affected ones should absolutely be transformable or something.
Again though, at one point had taken suggestions for transforming items in-wardrobe, and said that items like this would be covered under that. He even confirmed that it was still something planned/they'd like to do when V2 was announced. I'd love to know if it's still on the table for V3. I'd be more than fine with it being the solution for these, vs. actually adding the transform option (since the item/item image isn't affected at all).
Edit: Heck I've been mentioning that quote a decent bit lately, so I figured I'd go dig 'em up (what I could find quickly, anyways!). All these threads are old to WAY OLD and linked for reference only - don't post in 'em, please!
There was also a tweet (pretty sure), and his replies in one of the 'wardrobe brainstorming/features you'd like to see' type threads, but not finding those with my minimal effort on Google atm. If anyone is really beyond curious I can try to dig them up.
The Rose and Pearls is guilty of this as well. And of course, both the Costume Trunk and Spooky Costume Trunk. Most of these can be broken apart now, of course, but there's still a few that never made it: the Magic Djinn Lamp, Maidens Favour and Samurai Tanto for example.
Updated thanks ^_^
And wrote a shiny new OP just for fun
Still thirsty for it.
I would love if this were possible, support!
they/them/theirs, please.
The only issue I see here is that some would have to be revamped no matter what in order to make them transformable. But in some cases, a revamp is needed anyhow.
is also gendered !
I recall saying that the jacket not having stars was an error when they were saving and she forgot to click the layer to be visible ? So it wasn't supposed to be different but, for any number of reasons, has remained that way.
I didn't know some of these did this. I knew the beach hair did and that was one thing that really has irked me since its release. Definitely support.

Part of the reason I love Subeta is because I can wear whatever I want regardless of what base I'm using, and not have Subeta decide that I shouldn't be able to wear feminine clothing as a male. (I don't think I'd be nearly as into the HA system if that wasn't the case.) These old items go against that, and it seems long overdue for them to be fixed.
I'd love this to happen.

Another one for the OP:
they/them/theirs, please.
This thread is over four months old. Is this not necroing regardless of how relevant? Who do I ping.
bird and bear and hare and fish give my love her fondest wish
I'm going to talk to the artists about getting some art fixes for the ones that need tweaks for the different bases, but we'd love to do this! I don't know how I never saw this thread before.
- I wish that were the case, but I've seen so many pet species/color suggestion threads get locked for being necro'd. Unless the rule was recently changed and I missed it?

It wasn't changed publicly but they would rather have necroed posts here so all of the ideas stay together instead of having multiple threads on the same topic. if you see something locked due to necroing, remind the admin it's S&I, I've done it before. I'm not sure when the shift in the rule started, but it's been a few months since I've known about it. I asked Amber to perhaps make an amendment to the rule and it should probably be mentioned in a sticky on these forums. maybe when the new minimods get assigned :)
- Welp. I guess I'll be bumping some of my favorite threads once that's confirmed publicly. :P
I've always hated seeing threads locked with a note that you can recreate the exact same thread to bypass the necro rule. It's just so silly. :x

bumping is still considered spam though :p
yeah I don't necessarily agree with it but on the same hand, I don't think threads from 2 years ago are very relevant, especially in the other forums.
on topic: I wouldn't mind if this suggestion happened, it's not something that would affect me one bit.
