It's really unfortunate...
For the people who died and were injured For the families of those above For the Islamists that are not violent and will probably face upcoming discrimination For peoples' rights to make a joke or speak an opinion
All this succeeded in doing was added more hate to anti-Islamic fire, but I guess if these were the kind of guys that cared they wouldn't have shot those people to begin with.
Edit : Nevermind.

JFC... I couldn't even read the whole article, so I can't speculate on WHO did it, but honestly it doesn't even matter; the loss of 12 lives is tragic no matter what the reason. Especially if it is over something so trivial as a satirical comic/article. Just so sad.

🦋

It was a terroriste attack. On our soil! It's just disgusting. TT_TT Completely nuts.
These were Islamist Extremists by the way, not to be confused with regular Muslims.
My french teacher spoke of this today in class...
Yeah, I thought that when reading the article too.
I know those who are already anti-islamist will point to this and say, "See! They are dangerous! We were right!"
>.<

It makes me sad .. really sad.
Charb was for me a living legend of caricature art. Learning his death in such horrible way, him and his all co-workers was a shock. I can't believe that kind of things really happened, in our country, daylight in Paris. His last drawing just make me cry. Ironic anticipation.
By the way, beware US press announce a lot of craps, rumours and such.
That's something I've been wondering about too.
This was a TERRORIST ATTACK on French soil. The people involved still haven't been found, so we can presume that they are alive and well.
The repercussions from what happened are huge. It's not just the amount of dead, the identity of the dead, or how they died... It's that we are being sent a clear message.
Basically:
An incredible amount of foreign people talk about this and the international press is all with Charlie Hebdo. As far we know, only the conductor has been arrested, the two shooters are still wandering, the police working hard to end it fast.
Also, Charlie Hebdo will keep continuing, their weekly release of the 01/14 is already announced.

The brothers are now dead and hostages freed.they also killed the other Hostage taker
[Item=Pink Bellflowers]
I was hoping they could catch them all alive, not only for the sake of proper justice to have them sit through a trial and condemnation, but also so that they could be interrogated. They didn't do this alone. They were trained then left as sleeper agents it would seem. Someone must have contacted them and given them their mission: Charlie Hebdo. They need to be brought to justice too!
The number of casualties has also gone up though, with some hostages being reported as deceased. :/
The French Police and Armed Forced have been amazing tackling both hostage-taking situations, haven't they? I think at least one police officer was injured though. I'm following a live update feed from the BBC who have men posted on site.
