The Whovians get ready for the denouement dinner

Since Taters made it in time to post all of the HA's I removed the HA's I posted in here to avoid confusion :)

Webbys Watsons gathered in Webby's room to go over the interviews when they hear a timid knock at the door. The maid enters with an armload of dresses and several men's outfits on hangers. "Excuse me misses and sir," the maid says with a curtsy. "Ms Bacina thought that you might not have brought clothes for a dress up dinner and so sent out for these. Please select what you need." The maid lays them out on the bed and with a squeal Webby dives for the gowns laid out on the bed. "I love to dress up!" she exclaims as she picks up a blue gown and holds it up against her. Laurie, perusing over her notes intently, mumbles to Atrueheart with a wave of her hand "Pick me something appropriate.. you know I don't know about those things, research is my forte!"

Atrueheart, with a throaty chuckle, saunters over to the bed and begins to look over what's there. A look of dismay crosses her face as she realizes that none of these dresses would show off her "assets" as she is known to do. Laying aside a dress for Laurie, she finally selects a black dress. "I guess this will have to do!" she says with a frown.

Chook takes one look at the dresses and shakes her head. "I don't do dresses... ever!" she exclaims and walks back over to her notes. "I'm just fine the way I am." Webby, having already donned her dress, flits over to Chook. "It's ok Chook, if that mean ol' Ms Bacina doesn't like it then that's too bad." she says consolingly. "Come on Laurie! Get your nose out of your notes and get this dress on real quick. I'll fix your hair if you want and you can study while I do it."

Jeice and Torchy had spent a lot of time pondering the clues and suspects, and probably bugged and pestered Laurie and Atrueheart to death with wild theories and silly suppositions. But after a few group meetings and a lot of going over the evidence, at last a logical conclusion was reached. After all this intense scrutiny and speculation about the mystery, deciding what to wear to dinner was a snap for a usually fashion-challenged Ranger.

They all quickly get their dresses on and with a few adjustments are satisfied. "Jeice that one is so you hon!" Atrueheart says with a smile. Jeice exclaims with a laugh "I warrant that's not enough skin showing for you True." "Well I guess beggars can't be choosers!" Atrueheart says as she tugs on the neckline. Suddenly Sam bursts through the door, dressed nicely in suit and tie. "You gotta see this!" he exclaims as he leads the way out into the hallway. The Watsons lean over the stair railing and gasps of shock erupt when they see Layana being arrested.

They settle down and prepare to denounce who they believe killed Caudata.

As the last lines of the song played out, someone swung down from the banister above in a blur:

As Juana alighted next to the others, she once again assessed the reaction of her teammates.

Anna admired her work. Transforming a faerieish being into a large mutt creature? It was... almost... Cake! Or pie... Yum! Okay, she had dressed as this character too long already. She hoped the presentation wouldn't last too long. When was dinner? Anyway, she was glad her cohort had a bit of sorcery in her as well. They hadn't done half bad.

Amdir hid her face in embarrassment, and Juana couldn't help but show a bit herself in her uneasy smile. If only she realized the frosting that dotted her chin as well...

Leaf could barely keep his chin off the ground, astonished at her blatant disregard for time and ridiculous display. Juana made a mental note to point out the effort and dedication it takes to dress up as a blonde pretty boy when you're... a blonde pretty boy.

Jenna looked at the ground, disappointed once again. "I apologize for the interruption, Inspector." she mumbled. Though she couldn't help but giggle in the back of her mind at the antics.

Frieda and Wilhelmina arrive fashionably late for dinner. Frieda likes shiny and glamorous outfits for dinner engagements, but decided that it was also important to look business-like and professional. She didn't have a badge or any other detective credentials to wear around her neck like she had seen in so many crime dramas, but she did have the crest of her trade and she thought that might pass as something that would make her look official.

Wilhelmina was down to business as usual and her outfit reflected her no-nonsense approach to her work. It wasn't glamorous, but hard detective work was hardly glamorous work. If the snooty, rich-bitch, 'nut-jobs' in this gothic, mad-house, loony-bin mansion put up a fuss about what she was wearing, she would simply ask them why they had left the Luminaire decorations up long after Luminaire was over. Really, come on now, they must have servants and maids here who take care of all that, right? Wilhelmina felt whoozy again…did that wreath have a face in it? Marley?
