Here we go with the HAs that captured our judges fancies and the reasons why. Please remember that they have no idea of what team is what, so they pick the individual HAs. They did pick up on the Scooby Team right away, though. Please remember you can only count a score for two, even if your team has more, although, they way things are breaking down, we won't really need point scores to determine winners. The mystery solutions plus just having stuff completed will be enough. Anyway, here is the summation and the comments on our 15 winners.

Absolutely the classic "lady detective" look. Jessica Fletcher would be proud. Possibly undead, but definitely on the case An anthropomorphized Sherlock type. What sort of critter she is hardly matters, but the game is afoot. Ah, Phryne Fisher's spirit lives on. Saucy and spicy, she can't be fooled. What is a mystery without a Miss Marple type, this one by way of Downtown Abbey. Ah, the genteel young spinster, worthy of Jane Austen, but also able to solve a Wilkie Collins single-handed. He looks so innocent, and so much the gentleman, right down to the faithful hound. Peter Whimsey would take him to lunch. Is she real, or is she a ghost? And what is the story behind that bear? She stepped out of a Victorian Gothic, and Auguste Dupin would speak to her first. Oh, feisty! Definitely Kinsey Millhone's sister in spirit. V.I. Warshawski would grab this one for a partner. No nonsense, but oh that sexy perp-distracting hair! Urban fantasy wins with this street kid, right down to his streaks. Emma Bull knows him. He's one of the Finders of Bordertown. This one's as hard boiled as they come. Eve Dallas before the uniform. You're done, Buster! Even though this "critter" was a bit distracting and didn't work for us, we had to give credit to this great example of the "unshaven gumshoe," We didn't see her as much as Velma, but more as one of those ghost-seeing teens on the trail. Never underestimate them! And last but not least--it takes a weasel to catch a marmot! Really a fab look for a animal as sleuth.
