I would be name-swapping DNA with the name that I have so I'd have no issues with letting someone adopt DNA out once the names have been switched :)

I was thinking that maybe name swapping first may let you guys do a pound transfer after so nobody would have to wait.

Depending on the name and color/species, I doubt you would have much trouble doing a pound transfer as long as the pet isn't anything worth noticing.

I'm a tad confused is to why it'd be a month, at any rate, I think it'd be easier to get the pet birthday via pound vs the name. Iunno how this could work out, but I'm willing to try what needs to be done.

once a pet is transferred you'd need to wait a month before you could rehome again. I don't trust pound transfers just because there could be something that goes wrong. If I got DNA first, I could name swap and then send the untransferred pet to you

Pets have a 30-day cooldown between transfers, so if I transferred DNA to you, you would have to wait a month before you could transfer him over to .

However, if you dropped the (newly renamed) DNA into the pound, Wolf_Spirit can pick him up without having to wait for the cool-down. You guys will just have to coordinate the time, in case someone else picks up the pet. Which wouldn't be much of the problem if what you're renaming DNA to isn't a super sought-after name.

Oh my...DNA, science-fictioonnn aaaaaa. oAo I've always wanted to create a character that's been genetically engineered and physically altered using bionic parts to be 'perfect', but she's flawed due to her too human curiosity. The scientists then deem her a failure and decide to experiment on her to reproduce similar, but better results. She later escapes from the confines of the facility, so she's being chased by the government, but helped by regular average folk.
