Horrible forum lag

Still getting a lot of lag going into topics and also posting...at least for topics with a lot of pages/posts
I seem to be getting a lot of lag while doing quest ~ :( ~

Same for me. The entire site is going fast for me, the general forums are fast (aka Help, Announcements, General Discussion, etc), except for threads themselves, with paging on them. Aka, threads with a single page of replies load fast, threads with 2 pages and more go super slow to open, and super slow to go from one page to the next.
Now that I've got the item hovers loading, I'm working on this. Hopefully some improvements over the next few hours :)

Still having horrible lag. I was a beta tester for the new layout but that didn't make any difference when it came to going into topics.

the rest of the site is loading pretty well for me, but this topic alone took me a full 30 seconds to open
If this is supposed to be fixed, it's not. I'm still getting a ton of forum lag.
While it is listed on the status site, it's not just topics that are 2 pages or more. It is all topics that are painfully slow.
Yeah still getting painful lag getting into a topic, moving from page to page... even getting the forum front page to load takes a while.
The lag getting into topics is still very bad for me as well.

Keith would come and let us know an update on this, but he got tired of waiting for the forums to load.
I just pushed a bunch of my cache changes for the forums, which should speed them up throughout the day as people view threads. I hadn't finished them all but figured it's better to push anything at this point :)

Yeah I have definitely not seen any improvements for the forums at any point recently.
If anything, they've gotten worse as of this past week. Going to the forums on my phone has always been on the laggier side (I think that's understandable, there's a lot of content/images/HAs/pages/etc) however, as of this past week it's literally killing my phone. No, not subeta or my browser. It is literally killing my phone. Dolphin freezes, crashes, then my phone looses it's ability to connect to the network (not even 4G, it struggles to even catch the 3G), then I have to restart it and the battery goes from 100% to typically 92-95% battery life.
Prior to this, I have no complications with my phone/the network/other websites/other apps or anything. This crash ordeal only happens when I go anywhere near the forums.
It usually just freezes my browser up on my PC (like it sucks the life out of my browser just to load the forums) for a 10-30 seconds and then everything is fine. Sadly my poor phone doesn't have a landline directly connecting it's butt to the router, so it doesn't bounce back so easily |D
I'm still working on it. Right now we're pushing a lot of changes with the way that we do our logging, moving them out of our main database and into a system specifically designed for them.
That frees up the database for a lot of the more expensive operations (every post for example has to get the user information, avatar information, achievement count, etc) which should help with the forum speed indirectly but the overall site speed by a significant amount.
After that I can go back to looking at all of the data on the forums.
