Yeah, I kind of think fresh eyes would be a good thing, as well. The site has been stagnant for years, repeating the same events and stuff. Assuming they plan to hire new people, at all.
Oh right, you're back to school, now. Same old thing for me - at work.

I'm confused why i'm not getting any notifications from your pings :s
They probably did because the biggest fan site out there announced the news that they fired people. They had no choice anymore.
I don't have a really positive idea of jumpstart unfortunately. I took a peak at their official facebook and they seem to be notoriously known for taking money of people's bank accounts after cancelling paid accounts and stuff like that.
it is super rare, hence my surprise because i probably haven't played the games 50 times yet o_0 Thank you.
Same, i played it once when they gave free nc and then i quit. I don't know i didn't keep an eye on it, i read on facebook yesterday from several people that it happened under jumpstart.
You and are my sticking victims when i do MD :D I'm mostly in for the achievements attached to it ^^

They'll have to eventually. You can't get a site like that running again properly if you don't put any effort into it :o
Ah true. JN ftw!
Mh. That's not good to know. Well, I'm not planning on getting NC or premium over there anymore so shrug
Urgh yeah. There are so many tiers for his quests too ;_;
JN is the best :)
i'm not spending a cent there anymore. I feel like everything is too expensive as well. I spend 5$ on here days ago and i'm not even halfway yet through it :D (autotraining ftw)
his quests are just awful and it's a long stretched torture with so many tiers. I reached 600 yesterday

Thanks :) It's a slow day at work, so I'm questing. How'd getting back into school going? Lots of homework yet?
I cancelled by premium, so I really hope that's not the case :/ It doesn't end until May though.
I have good memories of Jumpstart, because they did all those PC "Grade #" I played when I was a kid, so there's a sense of nostalgia attached to them for me.

Right? And the box thing is just the biggest pain in the ass. Like really. How can we invent the most expensive and useless way for people to exchange our items which have already cost them money?
Aha, yeah, that would get you quite far. You're doing quite well :o Some of the quests are pretty quick and easy though. I tend to skip half of them XD
I quested too :D It's been good and stressful too XD Not yet fortunately o:
May isn't too far though. A friend of mine renewed in december and in january the site went all shit. She so hated herself for renewing.
well i we don't have jumpstart here on this side of the world so i never even heard of them until they bought neopets.
Boxes just suck, the most user unfriendly invention ever.
My training sessions are almost over, can't wait to see if joeri will be tier 5 :D I skip half of them too, "go fish 17 har...NO" "Go 5 times to the mystery box, NOOOO" I already spend quite a bit of time on the rest of the quests and BQ so by the time i reach MD i'm too lazy

UGH, I hate the giftbox trading system SO much. And then they did everyone such a 'favour' by bumping boxes up to 2, instead of 1 per box? Gee, now it only costs 100NC instead of 200NC to trade, how great. The thing is, giftbox trading was user-made solution because a legit trading system doesn't exist. They just let it keep going because it makes them money, so there's no reason for them to expend the effort of creating a legitimate system. So terrible.
Are you enjoying your classes at least? It's still the first week back, so you probably are still doing all that back-to-class intro stuff, right?
Ew, that's awful for your friend :( I still want to like the site, but they're making it veerrry hard. I really hope they do make a mobile version, because I'd use that. I just can't believe they haven't been able to fix the lag after 3+ months.
[center]
Yep, pretty sad for her :( I want to like it as well, but i feel like i ran out of love for neo. I don't get how they haven't fixed the lag yet, i really really don't get how an actual team of professional programmers with a full time job hasn't managed to fix it yet. What have they been doing the past few months?
Radja has gained 22 health points at the Training Center! Joeri has gained 21 health points at the Training Center! Then went to calculate how much i still needed for tier 5: yikes

I do mystery box when it's not crazy expensive. But that leviathan thing -.-
I love your new HA :o
@ both of you lol Yeah. I mean not only have they not fixed the lag and such, but they've been progressively taking down more and more features. I'll be surprised if they ever change that gift box system to be honest. hugs subeta
Thanks :D
And, yep, hehe, I have strong feelings about NC ;) I've put a lot of money into it, and sadly too much of it goes into trading and just disappears. I remember when they first introduced NC, and the items had 'time limits' and would expire. At least they did away with that. And no, they won't change the gift box system. They should. But they won't.
Also, I rarely do leviathans as well, but I usually do the mystery box, because fragging :P The one I hate most is trapped minions. Unless it's 1 or 2, it's a nope from me. Oh and winning money from the slots. I never win money - just random items. I just hit the top tier in MD, so I just keep at it for retired SubQ stuffs :)
I can understand why many people feel that way. I think part of the problem is Jumpstart just doesn't have the technology that Viacom, a huge international telecom company does. Their servers probably aren't powerful enough, and they weren't expecting Neo to be as big a drain as it turned out to be. Which goes to show that it is still fairly popular. Still, I agree, 3 months should be plenty to buy brand new servers, and FIX the situation.
[center]
i never bother with the mystery box, i hate refreshing for cheap items :p I'm on a too high level for the leviathan game so it's impossible to find 19 or so in half an hour.
Just send in my goals for the next sp sprint, i'm excited _
it took me 6 years to get the jackpot achievement from the slots. And yesterday I won a second time.
Someone predicted before the server move that things would get really slow because all their games are apparently really slow. And i was like: nahhh they are prepared for this. In hindsight they weren't prepared at all. Not necessarily very popular, loads of data and old data structures can be a pain in the ass even if only 500 people log in. But if you can spend millions on buying neopets, then you probably also got the money for servers.
[edit] Tempest has descended from above in order to play! You receive a storm item so she can get close enough to give you a MIGHTY BEAR HUG.
Woop storm potion

I didn't know about that time limit stuff :o That sounds horrible :o
Congrats on the potion :D And good luck with your next sprint! What's your goal this time?
Thank you!
The goals: Money: 750 mil, Starting at: 528mil Wardrobe: 13k, starting at 12k Trading cards: 250, starting at 247 Plushies: 2600, starting at 2400

That's a lot! How long do the sprints last?
Yeah! The time limits were tiny too, like 90 days, and then your item disappears. How did they ever think people would go for that? smh
I'm not even hoping to get the jackpot achievement, so I'll just be happily surprised when/if I get it ;)
The whole move just wasn't handled well. At minimum the deal had to be worth over a million, if they spent even a tiny fraction of that on purchasing quality, high-speed servers, they'd have avoided tons of headache - I bet they've spent thousands upon thousands of dollars on programming hours by now.
Wow, those are some impressive collections! I hope to be at that point in 6 years! On the weekend, I went and bought every plushie under 20k, and I still have a looong way to go.
[center]
Aha, glad I didn't see those times then XD Wow, you're doing a lot better with plushies than I am XD
3 months :)
I actively tried for it and it was frustrating.
Yeah, if only they spend a tiny fraction on servers. They probably spend a fortune on programmers now, but those were already in service so. Unless they hired extra people it didn't cost them more.
Your collections are pretty impressive for only 4 months :D
