There was an update posted on jellyneo, saying they laid off all their artists and content staff :( People are speculating, but there's no confirmed news on what's happening.

I think they may be aiming to turn the site mobile.

EDIT: Haha, no need to ask, because the answer is usually boring ;) I'm just playing about in wardrobe adding stuff to my wishlist (as if I needed more stuff to buy :P)

I know exactly what you mean. Family are great to hang out with for a day, and then you need to retreat back and take sometime to yourself to recover.

I know what you mean. I've been dying for a mobile version, but not at the expense of all the people who made Neo great back in the day.

Yeah, I was pretty much hoping that Jumpstart would somewhat restore the site to what it used to be before Viacom made the site 'child friendly'.

I can't even view mine or anyone else's user lookups at the moment. And the thing that hit me was that the notice board was empty. Like, damn.

Same, jumpstart seemed willing to 'age' the site up a bit. I guess that means stripping it down and making it mobile. The site is just really slow for me, but most things are working again :( I'm curious how they plan to make money if they got rid of all their artists, who handle creating all the NC items.

I'm worried that the site will become unplayable if it remains stagnant. I know it sounds stupid but I think I'll cry if anything happens to the site. I put so much effort into it for the last 12/13 years. That's like half my life. O_O

I know what you mean. I've been pretty active on and off, but mostly on, for 13 years :( The thought of a world without Neo is depressing. I haven't been playing much lately, because it's been so slow, but it's hard to imagine it not being there and all my pets being gone.

Actually I live in Canada, but in the Eastern timezone. I'm in Toronto :) I finished college (yep, I'm old, haha!) but I was a double major in English and communications. I'm now a copywriter at an advertising agency, which I really enjoy :)

Lau and I were talking about this last night :( The reigning theory is that the site is being transformed into a mobile based game. I really hope its not shutting down. I can't imagine my pets just being... gone. Why would JumpStart buy it just to shut it down? So upsetting.
