BQs are great for gaining stats and trying out opponents :) How far are you getting now?

Yay food and nourishment :D I was better today. I had my mom's leftover lasagna for lunch, hehe. Planning to make Christmas cookie later, and that counts as food right?

I'm making it easily through level 18 on BQ, but then I start to struggle. I'm going to focus on getting that last Gentech helmet built and then I'll see how that changes the make up. I've noticed on the lower level opponents that take more than one hit that the stealers are good to have, but on the higher level opponents they seem to be a waste of time. I think I'll probably end up getting rid of those and finding combo items that work better. :) It's been quite a learning experience already. Today maybe I'll also look into the Aftershocks scroll!

Yep, it's really busy which is why she has such crazy shifts. And the culprit? Star Wars!

Ah well, it's already 8.30 pm here so all kids have probably opened their presents and everyone's eating dinner with their family I guess. And I live alone with my cats who aren't really in a festive mood right now (they had their 'christmas dinner', now they're sleeping) and I'm so bored :) Ugh, what a lonely time of the year... Hmm, at tier 10, you should be making it through 20 for sure. At tier 8, I make it through 20, sometimes a little higher (but that's a big struggle for me and I basically need to get cursed effigy every time.) Here's the approximate list of challengers you should be able to beat based on your tier.

Yep, stealers are pretty useless against higher levels - you'd be better off getting a second attack weapon in or using something that blasts one of their weapons. (Some of them even prevent stealing/freezing/healing) which makes it tough. I hate challengers that prevent healing since that's a huge part of my strategy:P

Having a good constant scroll that heals + attacks is awesome, I definitely recommend.

Ah, it's not even 3pm here. And my family has a tradition of watching Christmas specials before bed so I have no big things to do before 9pm. (We open presents on the morning of the 25th.) Virtual presents are fun - I'm as excited about those as RL ones - as an adult I can buy almost anything I want, ya know? Christmas isn't as magical as it was as a kid, haha.

Aww, don't you visit family or anything? Spending Christmas by yourself doesn't sound like any fun :( Though I bet your kitties are adorable, even sleeping.

so my set is now: Phoenix Quill, Malignant Rift Staff, Daemons Poisonous Quills, Malice, Recycle Blaster, Item Hunter Bomb, SubetaBall and the Deluxe Death Shard. My scrolls are: Lucent Barrier (which I haven't been thrilled with), Cobalt Eternal (trying to figure out), Inferno, Poisonous Barge, Stinging Swarm & Singed Stuffing.

I know there's still a lot to go and I have a Dark Staff of Chaos that I may swap in.

Much improved set than you started with :) I'd think the healer would help a lot, especially. You might consider using your recycle blaster in place of a stealer for high-level opponents, too.

Lucent barrier looks like a weak defense scroll, so I can see why it wouldn't be much help. Cobalt is much stronger defense but it's one use, and only covers 5 icon types. It's more of a last ditch scroll, when you need to get one more hit on a challenger and are just trying to survive (IMO anyway! That's how I use it.) Singed stuffing is nice because it has a small heal and attack (it's like an aftershocks junior). Looks like you might consider replacing poisonous barge (low chance of freeze) as well, as that's probably not gonna hit more often than not and wastes your scroll for the turn.

Sounds good! I'm interested to see that you thing recycle blaster isn't bad for a steal. It usually does an ok job so that's good to know. Just got served by Surge... not a great feeling. :) I'll get through it though.

Your cats are definitely very cute. I've always been more of a cat person than a dog person - I don't understand dogs at all, haha. They're slobbery and hyperactive.

Maybe I've just had bad luck with stealing. I find I never get anything good, and would rather just destroy the opponent weapon, which is guaranteed. Since even when the challenger blocks stealing, you can still break their weapons heh ;) If I can't have it no one can!

All battlers get beaten down once in awhile. Cursed effigy is my nemesis at the moment. I have to fight him 2 or 3 times to get a win sometimes. And slinking off to the healer with my tail between my legs constantly is not so fun, haha.

Yep.. I've set up a side tab so I can slink off without having to hit to many dejected buttons. LOL I tried Surge again after getting Aftershocks and it was a much better fight. I still lost, but at least I took a chunk out of it too!
