Office clothes are fun. It's disappointing to work in an office and rarely wear them :P I think I'm in the wrong field, though. You have to be in the accounting/executive division to dress all professional, not the 'creative' end.
Understandable you'd want to avoid blood and gore. Though there are some specialties that aren't so ER-ish :P Like erm... psychology or chiropractics? Being in a lab sounds sort of interesting, though. I'm sure it's a lot of tedious test running and very little scientific discovery, but still, there's got to be something that requires some skill, otherwise anyone could do it, like a manufacturing line. Now that would be the absolute worst job. I can't even imagine doing the exact same thing every day for 8 hours, over and over, like a cog in a machine, without human interaction or anything to disrupt it.

My dad was really into computers, but no one in my family has even gotten a degree yet. I would be the first, if I end up finishing college!
Ha, I haven't even seen cold weather since I was about nine. It's always so nice during the winter here!
That's exciting, being the first :) I bet your family is extremely proud.
My dad was the first in my family. My parents insisted that all of us go to college though they didn't care what we went for :)

Oh, I'm sure they are. Although they aren't too happy that I kept changing my major xD. Oh well, as long as I finished, right?
I've actually done that job! One summer I worked on the line in a factory that made air filters. Good money, but holy crap it was so boring. You switch tasks every 2 hours.. but still. Yikes. Overnights, sometimes, too! I was a complete zombie!
Lucky, duck! I've lived here all my life xP
Ouch, that sounds terrible. I was watching undercover boss the other day and they were doing a truck manufacturer, and jeez, it gave me new sympathy for the people who stomach doing that every day. I hated even working in closed-door food service. Basically we made packaged foods every day, without interacting with people.
It's definitely where you end up that counts! No one knows how many times you switched your major when you get your degree at the end ;) I switched mine 2nd year, and I know lots of people who remained undecided until their 3rd year.
As long as you end up in a major you're happy with, that's the important thing. It's better to find out what doesn't work for you early on and switch than stick with something you hate and realize in a decade you hate your job.

I used to live in Illinois. I would have to be admitted to the hospital or rushed to the doctor's office too often though. I have really bad asthma, so every time the seasons changed I would have giant allergy attacks that triggered my asthma. That, and whenever I get too cold my throat starts to close up. Living in cold weather is not for me!
Oh yeah! I've heard so many horror stories of people who get bachelor degrees and hate what they do, so they go back and spend more money later. Or, they don't end up in a job that can pay off their loans. I'm scared that's what'll happen to me. ;c This is the semester where I find out if I actually like programming enough to do it for the rest of my life.
College is definitely the time to figure out what you want to do, whether it aggravates your family or not :P It's better to find something you can see yourself doing for years.
It's much harder to make a life change when you need to think about paying the bills :/

I wish my parents would understand that. They're pretty into the mindset that once you determine what your major is, then that's what you're going to be in life. They're been disappointed every time I've changed, but I'm just like, whatever man. I'll be paying for your retirement, just you watch!
Or maybe not. It depends.
I've finished my school work for today, but I could do more review work. I might do that later tonight after a bit of relaxation.
Most of us are only 17 or 18 when we choose a major. That's awfully young to make a choice that affects the rest of your life and get it right the first shot. If you ask me we should be required to try out a few before we settle ;)
And woot for finishing work and being free to goof off :)

Thank you for the carrots. c:
Hello, hello! Thank you for the welcome. And, that's right, sweetheart. :P
Whoops, should've said -- hello Treehouse and all who inhabit it!
Yeah. I went to a technical trade school during high school, but that didn't help me at all. I went in my junior year, and for my senior year I wanted to change programs, but they were like, "nope, can't do that. People come here knowing what they want to do, not trying to decide that."
Not a very helpful system.
You are most welcome!
Howdy. Just realized you're a (honey)bunny in a our treehouse... How down with nature!
That sounds interesting. If you grow up knowing what you want to do for a career it probably makes a lot of sense. Those are the lucky ones. I wish I'd had a strong idea growing up. It would save a lot of hassle and uncertainty!

I know what you mean! I think schools should do more to kinda instill an idea into their students, but the way schools are now is just horrible. I'm so glad I was out of high school before the big changes hit. >_<
On another note, I already very much enjoy my Java scripting class, even though today was my first day and we did nothing as far as java... xD
Helloes! How was your day? c:
Yeah! lol. I watch it when it's on the TV, it's cool :D
Oooh awesome! Bellas Artes? o: I'm really happy to hear that, go for it Aga! :D How are you btw? c:
Did they change the curriculum? It can be tough, but change is often good, because what one generation learns can get outdated fast. Depends what they change, I guess!
I'll have to watch it then :) My brother is trying to convince me to watch Luther next. It's on Netflix, and it's only 14 eps for all 3 seasons, so I'm considering it :P
I'm more of a cat person ;) Cats don't eat bunnies, right? Nevermind, I'll be a vegetarian cat, so you're all safe.

Thank you for your consideration, haha. I'll drop you some kitty ears when I have the chance... You'll see. :3 You and can be mimi pals.
Oh yeah o: that's pretty short, you can watch it in no time c: I started watching "Vikings" too (13 chapters), but I didn't like it XD
I was an education major for a semester, and what I learned in that class made me so happy I had graduated. They added something called common core, which focuses more on writing and reading I believe. Even in math you have to write a lot and everything, or that's what I took from it. I know a lot of teachers hated the curriculum change, many even trying to boycott it. It makes it more stressful on the students.
Other than that, I don't remember much about what they said. All I know is that a lot of teachers want a different reform to the education system than just piling on more work for students. xD
I feel like I'm rambling. I should stop, I don't know much on the subject.
