I hear you! I fight that procrastination temptation everyday. It's just a part of writing anything, I think! I admire people who can just hunker down and her 'er done.

And yep, it's an old CW. I paid an arm and a leg for it, but I really wanted it, so splurging on one big item wasn't a huge deal for me :)

I've managed so many essays just this one is more interesting to just study and not write down. 6 weeks until the deadline now, fingers crossed I can get it done.

ohhh we are hair twinsies now. It is a really amazing opportunity. Instead of struggling around for months or even years more I pretty quickly got a spot in this specialized group. (8 months is quickly apparently). The job market is a bitch right now so most companies aren't really interested in hiring someone like me who needs more help and investments. But the people from the company who run this project for the government are pretty good at convincing, so lets see what it brings :)

I always did my essays the night before they were due, haha. Thankfully I'm good under pressure, or I'm not sure I would have survived university. I really loved my coursework though - as an English major it was 80% reading and critiquing books.

I got these two achievements together: "You've earned the First Year! achievement!" "You've earned the Longtime Member achievement!" Those are two things that don't belong together. Maybe the first year one is just a new achievement?

My essays get done the day before too, I work really well under pressure. I wrote a 2000 word essay on the 2nd in 2 hours, I think that's the quickest I've ever done one xD

Yep, we are! :) I just managed to grab it today. I'm kind of shocked, actually, I was preparing myself for a never-ending search. But I think putting my price in my post was a good idea, since it might have been a bit of an over offer, haha.

It's great that there are programs to help. Being a young person looking for a job really, really sucks right now. Government(s) should have more programs like these to help people. My brother has Aspberger's which is a high-functioning autism and he was in a similar program in high school, which made a world of difference for him. He's almost a different person now. When he was younger he was very hyperactive, and did not get social cues at all. Now he's much calmer, and actually abides by many of the silly social things other people don't think about, like saying please and thank you, or holding doors, or reading a person's tone.

This is a government run program but you have to know how to get in and you need to have the right papers and diagnosis and run through the entire administration attached to it. For a person who doesn't have a person inside the system they have to go through a year of job failure before they are send to specialized job coaches, and then it takes months for those job coaches to decide to send there. So for someone else it takes two years to get into the right spot :( I just walked into the office of a job coach because my dad works for the government company that deals with all work related things so he knew how I had to handle it faster. Because apparently it's okey to jump a few steps but you have to know where and when to jump. It's sad that for those who have it more difficult, things are made extra difficult. All this bureaucracy to get done before you get the help you should have to be able to fully function.

Ohh my program isn't anything like that though. They are just going to teach me some professional guidelines I think. I'm still learning all the other social things but it goes slowly. Everyone in my family has autism so none of us make use of those weird social rules, which makes it hard to understand and use them in the outside world.

It was really boring actually. I posted my board, nothing happened. I updated my board to say I was willing to pay a small fortune in CSC, and voila, someone was willing to sell. Moral of this story: if you reallly want something, say how crazy much you're willing to spend and eventually someone might be tempted, haha ;)

the achievement was added pretty recently so if you haven't gone to that page in months then you probably didn't get it before.

I'm sure I'll need frequent reminders. But actually I find I'm pretty stingy with CSC (other than this exception, of course). I remove stuff from my wishlist after looking at it a second time a lot. I try to never buy things at first glance, so I don't end up with impulse buys.

Haha, good to know I'm not alone in being an almost-but-not-quite delinquent student ;) Honestly though, being able to work under pressure and tight deadlines is a very good skill to have for life after school. (Haha, I'm totally not rationalizing shifty eyes)
