Hi everyone :D Enjoying my day off work. I went shopping for some Christmas presents today and I'm taking Maya (my dog) to the dog park soon. How's everyone doing?

I had a long day! Classes then work then dinner. Dinner was fun aha.

That's a good reason XD I haven't really found a shop that I love for presents here yet. I love like cute/funny shops and I haven't had enough of a wander here yet.

It was good! We had some sort of salmon and leek tart, then duck with oignons confits and then a coffee mousse for desert. And then second deserts XD All for £2.50 because it's offered by the college. WIN. :D

We use one called the Lightsheer. Is that what she has done on her? Sugaring is a kind of waxing.. but you work with like a ball of wax? Google it! People like it because your hair can be shorter to have it done and the results last a week longer than regular wax.. but it's definitely more uncomfortable having it done since there's a lot of pulling. It's actually really hard on the hands!

Hi everyone! Sorry for disappearing over the past few days, but I've been walking around numb since Tuesday. Just total shock, as it sounds like a lot of you have, too :( I'm still processing, and I don't even live in the US!

No more progress on my book :( I've been very unproductive the last few days. I'm just emerging from the shock of the election honestly. Wednesday was a bad day!

Tell me about it. I can't believe almost 50% of Americans decided the 10,989,786 sexist, racist, terrible-person, terrible-business TRUMP scandals were worse than 'omg emails' - seriously, how are these two things even comparable.

Ahh black Friday. I also HATE the stores around Christmas. I have a few ideas for gifts this year, though. One of the massage therapists at work has a table at home and she said she'd let me borrow it. I'm going to take it home and give my sister, dad and brother-in-law one hour massages as a gift. And then also something small to be wrapped up that they can open C:

I actually de-activated my FB two days ago because I couldn't handle all the negativity and I found myself reading EVERY article people were posting and I was causing myself extreme anxiety and I could feel myself getting glum. I actually feel WAY better having closed it for a bit. I'm taking two weeks away to let the dust settle and then we'll see if I can handle it once I've re-activated.

Its been really difficult to process. I think mostly because I was so sure Hillary would win. It seemed likeba no-brainer decision. And then to see Americans choose otherwise... It was just disheartening to say the least. I don't blame you for shutting off FB. Its one big pool of negativity. I haven't been active there in years, otherwise I might have done the same.

I can't believe they were this close to a historic moment for women and... Went with the exact opposite of progress :(

Ohh good idea! c: I also had a fun idea for all my neighbors who have dogs to bake home made dog treats and give those out ^_^ Maya has so many friends in our neighborhood, I thought it would be cute to show up at their door with her to give them a little basket.

Hey hey! How is everyone? It's getting colder here ^_^

Yes, we are back together! The time apart was good for us, and we're really happy to be back together. It feels right. Also, I don't blame you, Lauren, at all for deactivating your FB. One of my other friends did, and Josh deleted his app so he wouldn't check it too much. I'm not sure if this ever came up before, but he's Mexican and it's taking a big personal toll on him. He told me he felt uncomfortable walking in town for the first time the day after the election. It broke my heart. I'm trying not to get on FB as much, myself, because it just takes too much out of me and I get too emotional and upset.

I was so so sure Hilary would win, as well. I was in such disbelief as I stayed up and watched it all pan out. But I'm trying to be strong for all of my friends who are scared and upset, as well.

Yeah it should be! I get so lazy at the week ends though and just don't want to leave my bed XD It's been pretty tiering!

Well, congrats to you guys! That's great! Sometimes it takes some time apart to realize what you want/need. Nathan and I broke up about a year into our relationship for 2 months and I dated someone else in between. We obviously got back together and we've been together almost 5 years now!

Hey it's getting colder here too! I love the fall weather c: My dog loves it so much too. She seriously looks depressed when she's inside and as soon as she runs outside it's a whole different kind of attitude lol Cute HA by the way!

I'm like that on the weekends too xD And I've had NO rest this weekend. I had to nanny friday and saturday and that's including their soccer games and practices. Then a friend of mine from college actually came to the city I live in, so I HAD to go out with him. And now I'm about to go the football game today! c: (you probably don't know much about the NFL so.. xD )

Oh I missed your post when I was typing this one lol. And yes I agree! That's why when I give gifts I try to be very thoughtful on what it is. Like for my brother and his gf, I'm giving them dog bandanas that have their favorite football team on it because even though it's not something they can use, they are obsessed with their dogs so I thought it would be cute.

Good Morning Treechat. It's been a rough week huh?

At first, I was shocked like many of us were. Some of you saw my last "crying" avatar and my "Lesser of Two evils" status which expressed my upset over the election. But I decided yesterday to take a different perspective on everything and focus on what I myself have control of.

I'm putting the spring back in my step, so to speak! And with that, I made a new avatar that's Spring themed! xD Ironically in the middle of fall, approaching winter. I think it's going to be a good thing.
