These are important issues. It boggles my mind that there are any women in this day and age who claim not to be feminists. All the annoying celebrities who clearly don't know what it means, yet make ridiculous statements, need to be handed a dictionary. I'm with you on racism, and gay rights for that matter. Neither of those things affect me personally, but I don't understand how there are people are so adamantly against dampening the rights of OTHER groups. If it isn't your life being affected, why is it any of your business to say what they have the right to do?

Haha, no I'm not a lawyer. Sometimes I wonder what that would have been like, though! I work in website development and advertising. I'm a copywriter. I make WAY less money than a lawyer would.

No problem. I wish it was mandatory for people to show what they wear on their profile :P I see items I like all the time and feel like I'm always asking people what they're wearing.

I know, right! I've looked on peoples' profiles so many times to see what they're wearing, but I rarely see them showing it. I know it crowds your profile a little more, but it can be pretty helpful!

You are totally right! Sometimes, when I see some women comment that "they hate feminism", or that "feminism isn't needed", I just think that I can't understand how they can be so blind, it really bothers me. Oh, I'm sorry I missed gay rights! That's really important too. I usually hear a lot of homophobic comments for my family, friends and such, and I hate it. Why are they so close minded?

It all comes down to fairness and equality for everyone. There's no reason any group is entitled to rights others don't have.

Close-mindedness is one of my biggest pet peeves as well. There's just no excuse. I have yet to hear a persuasive argument from anyone against any type of equal rights.

I do. It's something different everyday, and I enjoy professional writing. Right now I work at a very small agency, but I hope one day to move up to a bigger one :)

Yes, we all should have the same rights :( And how is it in Canada? Is there equal marriage? I think it was the past year when the president made it legal here in Argentina. She made a lot of mistakes, sure, but the equal marriage wasn't one! Also, she made it easier to divorce, without needing the agreement of both parts, wich I think may be useful for cases of abusive relationships and such.
