I don't understand why people do this, and why apparently leaving a mail or comment is so difficult. If you're on the phone and you can't mail/comment, then don't contact anyone about trading or selling.

I've had this happened to me three times. All of them involved lots worth over 200 million. Needless to say, none of these people got what they wanted, except for my disapproval. =/

You seem to be missing my point. It takes two seconds to mail/comment someone. I don't see how making a junk offer with MAIL ME is any easier than simply mailing/commenting. I didn't list any specific names, and this was meant as more of a general rant.

Then put a price on your lot and say it's firm. If you know what it's worth and what you want, there's no point in asking for offers - just say what you're looking for. And if people still do it, it's not that hard to hit the decline button and block them if it really irks you that much.

That's the problem. I am quite flexible with what I want and like, thousands of other users, I prefer people to make offers because I am open. Like you said, if a person knows how much an item is worth, then there's no point of asking how much I want and they can make an educated offer with little to no hassle. But, again, you're not understanding my point. If it were just a plain junk offer, I would have no problem just rejecting it. That is not what I'm ranting about though. I just don't understand why someone would make an offer just to tell me to mail them when they could have just easily mailed or commented me. I have had three replies to this, and no one has offered an explanation as to why someone would do this and think it's a good idea.

Idk if I'd actually hate the people over it.. I'd just let their crap rot or reject it and move on with my life? And yeah, I've had some 250m/500m weapons in my trades for a while and yeah if someone offered me junk with a message I'd... ignore them?

While it's annoying, especially since trades and phones aren't exactly hip with one another so I don't see how offering junk on a lot is any easier than just contacting the person, I don't think it's that big of a deal. I mean if anything, just block the people and they won't be able to offer you any more junk?

I never even knew people actually used junk offers to prompt others to mail them. That sounds really weird to me. From experience, I can say that it is easier to mail a person on a mobile device than it is to offer on a trade, so the whole mobile thing makes no sense to me actually. IDK how common junk offers are on this site as I rarely use the trading center outside of arranged trades and item loaning purposes, but I don't think I will ever understand that trend.

The only one that ever gets harassed/targeted is the user that makes the mistake of contacting you to begin with,People can't even ask you what you want through smail without you finding a way to make yourself into the victim when that couldn't be further from the truth.

Maybe they wanted you to mail them first so that you could just tell them offhand what you wanted/if haggling is possible, Rather than asking you first and having you leap down their throat about it.

My guess would be that they are hoping you would accept the offer by accident. I have no idea if successful if that could count as scamming or not and you would be able to get your item back.

The trade message is literally "mail me". Intention is pretty clear to me, and if I see MAIL ME, I'm going to mail them.

People are often on the REALLY AWFUL version of the site, so they want to get the lot but might not have the time to access the vault because again, the mobile site is terribad.
