The pet spotlight isn't based on luck though? If your pet is nominated and is acceptable, it's pushed into the queue for the spotlight and you're practically guaranteed a win at that point, even if it takes awhile to pull your pet from the queue. But it's not luck based to enter, then win. You have to be accepted first (and like I said, once you are, it's just a waiting game).

But that's if whoever looks it over decides that it's acceptable... which is 100% subjective on their part and thus, luck-based on yours. Like I said, you can spend all of your money on a shiny pet profile, and be rejected because someone didn't like something about it. And since you'll never know what it is they didn't like, you can redo everything and jump in again the next week and there's still a chance you'll be rejected again.

So there very much is a significant element of luck in the Spotlight (probably even more so than in the Lottery because that, at least, is decided by an impartial RNG. The Spotlight is decided by human beings who are influenced by entirely subjective things like emotions, personal tastes, etc.)

Yeah, that's not luck though. If staff is kicking pets out of the queue just because they didn't like it rather than because there was an issue with the pet somehow, that's a massive problem. As for not knowing what's wrong with it, it's been suggested to give a very basic reason when the pet is rejected.

I mean, yeah it's going to be partially subjective but I really doubt the staff member in charge of the spotlight is letting things like emotions and personal taste keep pets from the queue :/

I disagree with this too and I don't think the comparison with the Pet Spotlight works at all.

What if you love playing, but others bought you a bunch for your birthday or something? No support.

I don't think there needs to be a cooldown on potion lottery winning. The only thing dumping more sp onto buy tickets will do is increase you odds at winning, but you can still win on a single megaticket. For all anyone knows, they might just be a ticket and call it a day and get luck of the random to win, or they could dump tons and tons of sp and win.

I disagree. The PL is nothing like the pet spotlight and should not be treated the same. It is so random and if people wanna sink sp into it daily then so be it.
