I ran the idea past Laurie (which I should've done before making this thread, stupid Wolf Lol) and she gave it the red light XD So nothing to see here. Pretend you never saw this thread LOL!!!

No reason to leave 'em hangin. She asked if I thought making an event group would be a good idea, she said she wanted to give # laurs a break and that it would be more organized. We did that before, and still got pings and in all honesty if you think # laurs needs a break, you can bring it up with me and I'll ask them about it, another thing would be take it easy on pinging the group or if this is really something you want to do, make a seasonal group for yourself. Seems simple enough to me.

I do not see anything wrong with my group or how we do things and really do not want to be in another group so I said no thanks.

Yea, I think 's lair is just fine the way it is. Definitely do not want another group to join. I've always trusted our mama bear's decisions, that's why she's the boss, and I've always loved the way she runs her Lair.

I do think the group is getting pinged way too much lately, for stuff it doesn't need to be used for. But then again I am old, grumpy, and unsociable these days, so yea... ^_^

I've found that, when you're running large groups, making splinter groups is hard and usually doesn't work unless they're VERY specific, like our Birthday thread. Even then, one splinter group is enough!

Basically, large groups with lots of action make for lots of pings. This gets under some skins; doesn't bother others, but it is going to happen!

Maybe some do not realise that they are pinging 257 people each time they ping the lair, especially pings really meant for their friends. I have to admit to being confused getting pinged to other lair boards that are not made by Laurie or those she has delegated out to.
