oh wow haha well now i feel like an idiot XD facepalm i'm going to buy dates next time im in the store now just so i know what they taste like lol

If you don't like them plain, you could always try baking with them!

I've only started helping out with the holiday baking the past couple years. This year for thanksgiving, I made pineapple casserole, which was a definite hit and I really want to make again next year! And at christmas I made peppermint brownie bars (which were basically a layer of brownies on the bottom, then a layer of homemade peppermint icing, and then chocolate + butter melted together over that, and a bit of crushed candy canes to top it all off). Those were wonderful as well! I love trying out all these new recipes I find online every year and I can't wait until the holidays roll around again and I can make a brand new treat again!
