Could we maybe add the following, if not too much/too specific?

  • a generic 'sorry!'
  • 'at work'
  • 'at school'
  • something like BRB or 'I'll be right back!"

you say this is a game so take your place
then you set the mask upon your face
my silhouette in the air you trace
and the dagger performs with a start

I like the 'at work' option a lot. The others are good, too.

Maybe something to indicate low/high cost gifting is the ideal for the person?

I like the messages and I love the whole thing being redone with seeing pictures of the items along with the names instead of just the drop down! It's a really great improvement overall for Mysterious Melody! :D

Perhaps just a general "away from computer" to encompass all of those things?

I think "at work" and "at school" are better options because they don't necessarily mean you're away from the computer, just that you may be slower responding.

I'm really really glad to see these messages added! It was always cute when people found items to interact with (hi stickers, pillows, etc) but those items always inflated and I always kinda wondered if the other person caught the drift or not. Messages are just so much easier and to the point xD!

I think the list we have now is pretty good-- I wouldn't really want to see it get too much longer because then people might spend too much time sitting and thinking about what to "say" and so on. I wouldn't mind seeing a few more "casual"esque options though.

Some things like "You're awesome!" or maybe even a few emoticons like hearts or a few types of smilie faces might be fun (you can only say thank you so many times, y'know) xD! Also please no to the passive-aggressive attacks. No one likes to get stuffed with a non-gifter (or a junk gifter, I think that's worse tbh, I'd rather nothing than getting to sit here and delete 400 junk alerts because someone else wanted an achievement), but if someone doesn't want to gift then remarks or not they probably won't. Just send them one thing and if they never send anything back, don't send them anything?

If the people wanting free stuff only got sent 1 thing each day then they'd waste all 31 days and get 50k in items total and maybe next year they'd put some effort into it? I would like the option to remove yourself from the MM, though. Not so much because of people not gifting back but if someone starts spamming me with unfraggable junk I'd love to be able to gtfo of there instead of getting 400 events and 400 items to delete y'know.

Otherwise fabulous change, even if nothing else is added to the list I think this is a great start to making MM more interesting while keeping it anon (:

oh god I want to do a message with like 20 hearts so bad because it'd be the perfect response to any and all taco items that come my way (don't you guys send tacos to your MMs??)

I'm going to likely add the generic "away from computer" and "be right back", because doing something like work/school means you could also add like "going for a walk" or "eating dinner" etc.

A lot of people write "AFK", away from keyboard, to mean they're not responding right away. I've seen it mostly in online gaming, AFK doesn't necessarily mean they're completely away from the keyboard, they could be in another tab or just doing something else at the time.

Though there's nothing wrong with being specific I'm just trying to be broad. I feel like just a general "away" would suit it. Away meaning that you're not doing this right now but will be back.

I think "away from computer" and "be right back" would be great, and maybe something like "busy-- will be slow" might be good for when you're at work/school/cooking/something and might have a busy MM.

I also totally approve of a massive string of hearts because that and Q___Q is my usual reaction to something perfectly amazing xD!

I wish there was a way to let my MM know I have limited internet. I can only gift for so long per day as I only have 10GB of internet data a month. Probably not possible but still wish I could let them know why I'm not on long.

Stupid internet limits >.<

I really like the idea of "item messages." ...where you send a series of items in a certain order, and it conveys a message, like- (eyeball item)+(candy heart)+(book of books)= I like books. However, I've had terrible luck getting my MM to understand these. Maybe messages that say "Question~" and "Statement~" or something along those lines, to signify that you're trying to communicate, rather than sending a bunch of totally random, inexplicably cheap items. If these were to be implemented, there should also be an "End Message" type of option, to show that the message is done, once you've sent the items for it. Like a telegram.

Okay, so I've added some new messages you guys can send. Some like "I'll be right back" or "I'm busy at the moment". Sorry, , couldn't add any emojis but I did put some other messages to send instead of just sending thanks haha

How about a confirmation to the "I'll be back later" such as "OK" or "No problem"? I was tempted to send "Yes" to my MM would let me know they would be back later but.. it just sounds too funny for me. :P

Okay, I really love these messages. But where can I see whether I got a message? Are they appearing together with the note on my dashboard?

I'm also loving these messages, and the speed at which new ones are being added. The only one I'd like is a "Good morning!" because I like to send my MM some things in the evening, say good night, then send them some things when I get up :)

I am loving the new additions, it makes it easier to converse with your MM, for sure :)

please don't

not everyone has millions to spend on mysterious melody, and even if you only get slots things, it's part of the game.
