What I think is most wonderful about yoga is that it is a not tiresome activity. It is not about resistance as many other activities but it actually helps you keep fit in your mind, your heart and your soul. The benefits for practicing it are countless and all it takes is at least 20 minutes a day from you!
I started this thread along with because there's nothing better than buddies in crime! And, let's be honest, we need someone to push us because starting a routine as this can be complicated when you're just getting started!
Hello, my name's Marcela. I am 23 years old. I study at the university and I am very interested in yoga. At first, I looked up yoga classes in my city but I found them to be more expensive than I could afford so I decided to get my yoga classes from the internet because it's cheaper and I'd feel so much more comfortable doing such activity in the privacy of my home. This is the website that recommended me but you can take yours from whatever site you wish! And if you share it, that's better. I am interested in Hatha Yoga, which is an specific yoga for weight loss that I know has brought great results to acquaintances of mine. I will be doing a more healthy eating habits because when I start doing exercises my body gets tired and my average eating habits won't be any good for the activity I am about to do!
So, I'll be daily reporting starting on November 24th, 2014 about my daily goals and flaws. I have an eating plan for myself almost done (working on it) so let me know if you want me to share with you so you can give it a try! And modify it as you may!

Yay, this is awesome! I joined the group already. If you want any help from me, let me know <3 Hatha Yoga is super beneficial, I like practicing it online as well. You have to be extra careful with all of your poses and breathing though as there is no one to correct you. I recommend doing it in front of a mirror to make it easier to check if your body is in the right position :)
Yay <3 Welcome! And I knoooow.... I read something about how breathing is important and that there's steps for every position in which you do it, relax, then empty your mind and I am not sure what else but I guess I'll stick with relaxing.

I'm excited. I'll need to get a yoga mat tho! I already train at the gym and it will probably help me with the stiff muscles.

I am super crowded with college finals and deadlines. However, I'll try to get one whenever I can in between Christmas shopping. I'm definetely going to give it a shot as I suffer of migraine and I have a bad knee.
I am just like you! I mean, I have finals and stuff but I also suffer of migraines almost everyday (specially on finals, it happens to me due to the stress) and I just recovered (as you read) from my bad ankle. So I totally understand you!! I totally am hoping on yoga to improve my health!

Me too, especially the stiffness :c I used to be more flexible too .. but the gym made me feel like cardboard xD? Migraines are terrible, feels like my eye is going to explode ugh.
Oh, I know that! I used to be more flexible and then I started gaining weight and now I am not so flexible. Still quite but not as I used to. It's frustrating!! I can't do amazing stuff and show my useless skills to others.
I buy too many pills per month!! I have my pills for average pain and then the ones for the worst ones. It's basically same thing but with added components on the stronger one. I am afraid they stop working one day :c

AW YIS SO EXCITED FOR THIS. I think I might start tomorrow with the yoga at least, just to get my body used to it. ^_^

I just want to let you, guys, know that I bought my yoga mat today!! :D I looked everywhere it's just perfect <3

Idk if I'll be able to start yogas with you on Monday. :( I found a hole in my toothie and I need to go to the dentist and I don't know what they're gonna need to do to it.
aweee -1 for you!! and -1 for me to IF I don't clean my room tomorrow and don't start on Monday either but I do am too much into it! :D

I think it's a cavity :( The weird thing is I've had more pain in my head and jaw than my actual tooth. Hopefully they can just fix it up and I'll feel a lot better. :c

I am going to start washing the clothing!! (with my hands because I don't have a clothes washing machine!!) I did not know you could have pain wit a cavity :C

It might be infected shrug who knows. I'm calling the dentist in ONE MINUTE
Anyway! I decided to push through the pain and do some yoga anyway. I got half way through Rise and Shine, then she started doing some one-legged nonsense, and I was done. 😆 Oh well. Twenty solid minutes of naked yoga. I call that a good start. I'm going back to my sun salutations though XD
