Aw, what an adorable face! His eyes and markings are beautiful. He looks like such a sweetie too. Hope he's settling in nicely!
Sweet! I used to volunteer for a breed-specific dog rescue, as well as Drive For Life, but never had a chance to do much for either due to my remote location.
Thanks!
He is definitely gorgeous. His previous owner showed me pics of him with his fur grown in, and he's just stunning.
He has full-length legs, I swear! But like 1/3 of a tail!
I'll give that a try once he's graduated to being allowed in the same room as the existing cat. :D
Aww, I'm glad he could help smooth some of the stress out of your day!
He's getting along fabulously with everyone. I don't think he'll ever be thrilled with Dixie, the bulldog, but he is otherwise fond of the rest. He and Caiman (the Dogo) are pretty snuggly, and he and Manson are becoming friends, too. We had a minor setback in that he picked up a stress-induced cold, but he got some antibiotic shots at the vet today, so he'll be right as rain in no time (he was just a bit sneezy, but he kind of got less outgoing as the sneezing got worse).
He blows his nose... by sneezing on us. I've never met such a snotty cat!
Manson is the one with all the extra toes. It's ridiculous. And his thumbs are extra long, too. Both of the cats have weird parts, LOL. Manson and his toes, Ruger and his broken, nubby tail.
Hahaha, that's like my Dixie. With her smushface, she just can't breathe well, so she sneezes and snots all over the nearest object. It's pretty disgusting. I always swore I'd never got a brachycephalic breed, but... here she is.
Good guess! He's an Oriental Longhair x Angora. He is definitely stunning, but his personality is even better. He is the most aggressively friendly cat I have met in my entire life! He is like "LOVE ME NAO, YOU HAVE NO CHOICE HUMAN." And he purrs like a motorboat. :3
He did end up being pretty big! He's usually 12-14 pounds. Ruger weighed in at 14 at the vet, which surprises me, considering he's enormous AND tubby. xD
Haha, the lady at the rescue was all, "Well, he's... heavier than I would really feel comfortable with" for Ruger. Manson is slender, just fluffy! I'm not sure where the weight is! Ruger is the stocky, massive chunkybutt. xDDDD
British Angoras are stocky, but the Turkish Angoras are very delicate. And with his Oriental Longhair blood, he looks like a dancer!
Hahaha yeah, I love the name. And he is a big tubby chunkybutts. Not as bad as he could be, and I'm hoping that improves now that he is on a better food, but he'll never be dainty hahaha. His last owner said she thought he might be part Maine Coon because of his size, but he doesn't have the meow. Honestly, he looks a lot more like an American Bobtail to me. The length of his ear tufts = ridic!
I can't say he's a fan of it when I play with them. xDD The look he gives me is priceless, LOL
Isn't it just? I love it, and can't wait for the rest of his fur to grow back.
He's feeling quite a bit better now that he's had his antibiotics, but he spread the infection to Manson, who had to go in today for his antibiotic shot. Bleh!
Yeah, now they're both sniffling and miserable, though Ruger's clearly in the recovery stage. Manson is completely miserable, though, poor baby.
And yep, they each got some canned chicken & pumpkin gooshy food on Thanksgiving!
Thank you! I sure hope they are, too. These vet visits are expensive, and my elder dog needs some bloodwork and probably another surgery soon, and it's not cheap on a dog his size. :(
Ruger loved it! Manson wasn't quite as excited by it. (And if you have any dogs, dogs LOVE pumpkin, and it is so good for them!)
Thank you! I'm looking forward to taking a lot more pics once his fur has grown back. His head is so huge, and it just looks extra ridiculous with his body fur shaved. xD
What an adorable face! :D I have three rescue cats and oh man I love them so much.
Thank you! He reminds me quite a bit of a Pixie-Bob, except he's got white socks! And yes, he is a massive boy, though not quite as big as a true Pixie-Bob.
I'm jealous that you've got a barn for barncats, haha. :) We're hoping to add some small livestock to our "collection" this spring, but that may have to wait another year.
