We have the ability to turn it off / on per skin. So, if a skin has eyes (butterfly zombie skin, for example) we will turn off features you've selected. If not (and you can see an example on my HA right now) your features will show up.

They are going to both be considered bases going forward, which means you'll only be able to wear one at a time.

Right now the base will cover your zapper skin regardless. We are working on getting those moved into a separate system (that is already built) where you can make them your base. :)

Okay, so I guess I explained this wrong, haha. The base button still doesn't work (that'll be for editing things like your eyes / mouth / nose, like in the existing wardrobe) but the base is a moveable layer, like the hair layer. That's all thats been pushed (but is actually a pretty major change to the thing that actually makes the avatars)

At the moment, no. Eyes, mouth, and nose are considered part of the "base" at the moment, which means that they'll all layer together.
However, in the changes I made for this, making eyes (or mouth / nose) a separate layer in the future shouldn't be too difficult.
