Well she is old enough to understand Christmas now. As long as she doesn't start looking for them again. One trick I read somewhere is to put gifts around the house with things like a tennis ball in it. Apparently it helps to deter those who like to look for their gifts early. I think its the act of seeking that she's enjoying. My brother and I would always look for stuff so Mum created a mini treasure hunt for the house on wet days or winter evenings when we couldn't play outside.

Yes I will have to move again. Last time for a long time hopefully. I have moved so much the past couple years (4 times in 2 years!) but this will be a more permanent thing. I feel like a lot of people have to move around a lot in college. After graduation, I will look at somewhere I actually wanna stay for a few years. It'll be nice to unpack EVERYTHING this time. I don't even bother unpacking my stuff right now because I know I have to move so often.

That's going to be so nice! :) I'm about 23 hrs away from my parents, and the other side of the world from my Sis. My brother lives about 20 min away though. Being close to family is special. <3

Oh yes. She's only 15 mo so hasn't quite got the idea behind looking for stuff intentionally, but getting there. But she DOES know that boxes are so much fun to open. And if they happen to have paper or toys inside? Well that's just way too fun! I love treasure hunts and can't wait till she understands the concept a bit more (Soon!) and we'll do that too. Kids are just so much fun at the holidays. :)

Just read your post where you pinged me, I think you were talking to Springjoy about her daughter and the holidays? She has an adorable daughter :D I can only imagine how much fun it is to have a little one who is old enough to start enjoying these special days. I would be having a blast building legos or playing with playdoh with them (once old enough). One day, if I'm blessed, I wouldn't mind having one kid but we'll see how it goes :) I have enough on my hands right now that I don't think I could be the mom I want to be.
