Oh, I see. I'm sure other people don't notice it then. We're always more prone to noticing faults in our own tattoos and piercings than other people are. My friend has a ton of tattoos and he's always pointing out mistakes or things he doesn't like and I'm just staring at them like "I didn't even notice that until you pointed it out." He also said the same thing about piercings being addicting lol. He never believed it at first and now he has snake bites, septum, bridge, tongue and a dermal under his eye as well as ears stretched to almost two inches. He's also had his eyebrow, angel bites (I think), and that little piece of skin in the center of your bottom lip that connects to your gums. I think it was called a smiley. Now he wants to get his tongue split.

Yeah right, other people don't see what you see until they look closer. When I got my first piercing my mother didn't even notice it (lip - right side), I was like: do you notice something new about me? She didn't notice it, until I told her xD Oh wow that's much, but unfortunately sometimes it's difficult to find work with so many piercings, you can be happy if you find a job where you can let a few facial piercings in. Ears are not a big deal, but I think mostly more than 2 in the face are too much. Split tongue? A singer of a band I like also has a split tongue. I think it looks amazing, but I think that would scare me x_x
I don't have a lot of piercings (at least I don't think so, but according to my friends, I have a lot). I have 4 lobe piercings on each side, a helix on one ear, an industrial piercing on the other ear, and a nose piercing. I had another helix, but I chose to have it close up. Thus, I have a total of 11 piercings (or you can count it as 12 as the industrial piercing has two holes). At one point, I did try and stretch my ears, but ended up stopping after some time.
I am thinking of getting another piercing on my ear, though I'm not entirely sure what I should get. I really do like the snug piercing, but I heard it hurts quite a bit (not sure if I want to go through with the pain just yet). I am not really considering anything else at the moment, though that can change I guess.
I have seven piercings at the moment. Two sets in my lobs, industrial on my left ear, helix on my right ear, tongue and nipples. I want to get my nose re-pierced, and I want to get my septum done as well.
I have four tattoos. A dragonfly on my chest, a fox on my right shoulderblade, a kissy/skull on my right collarbone and a xenomorph on my right forearm. I have many tattoo plans, but lack the funding to achieve them at the moment.
I totally know what you mean. Most people never notice my nose stud unless I point it out or I have a really vibrantly colored one in.
It is really frustrating how hard it is to find a job that allows facial piercings. Sometimes even the ones where you don't have to deal with customers are strict. It's pretty lame. I know there are plenty of people who don't like piercings, but I think they're generally accepted enough that most customers aren't going to be bothered by seeing an employee with them. As long as it isn't excessive.
Split tongue is definitely not my kind of thing, though. It kind of weirds me out more than anything, but I've seen it enough from my friend looking up videos and such that it doesn't really phase me anymore.

Yes and that's good, you can wear piercings and some people don't even notice it first. But it also means that you can't wear what you want - if it's allowed to wear piercings at work😣
I think it should be allowed as long as it is not like 20 piercings in the face, but many people still think in an "old" way and maybe they are prejudiced. They think people with piercings don't work. Where I work nobody ever complained about me. They just wanted to know what this is in my face or ask me if it hurt xD
People who want this should really think about getting it, I think it looks cool, but I'd never let my tongue split
Yeah. Thankfully I've had all of my piercings for quite a while so I can take them out for work if need be, but it does suck when you want to get new ones but your job doesn't allow them.
Yeah. I can understand why an employer wouldn't want to hire someone whose face is 50% metal haha. I think it would be fair if the limit was, say, 5-6. Maybe even just a case by case basis. Some piercings aren't as noticeable as others and shouldn't even be counted. I worked at once job when I was 14 or 15 that didn't even allow me to wear two pairs of earrings in my lobes. That was just silly.

Yes that's good, once you have them a bit longer you can be sure to keep them, even if you're not allowed to wear them. Aw yeah that really sucks, then you're limited to the ones you already have, so as long as you have the chance to wear them at work you should get the new piercings you want and if you work somewhere else you can take them out. IF you have the chance to do that. But maybe some people will allow one piercing (that would be the new one) and then you just take the others out at work.
Yeah I see why they wouldn't hire someone who looks like that, but they don't have to reject them right away, maybe talk to them to reduce the number. But I also wouldn't go to an interview with so many piercings in the face, I would ask them if I can wear them after I get the job. Really? Omg, ... just why? I don't get it. Yeees some people don't like piercings, but lobe? That's the most common piercing, nearly every woman has at least one lobe each ear, lol
I always take mine out when I go to interviews and then ask afterwards what their policy is unless I knew beforehand that they allow them. It is really sad that people assume if you have tattoos and piercings that you're gonna be some kind of slacker. Sure, there are plenty of people with body mods that are lazy and poor workers, but there are also plenty of people who don't have mods that are the same way. It's definitely not a good indicator of someone's work ethic. Silly society and it's rejection of anything deemed abnormal lol

Yes exactly, you can't tell how people are based on how they look, but unfortunately a lot of people do that and you have to make sure you look normal. I hope this will change, I can understand it for some jobs, but sometimes the reaction on piercings is too much.
Yeah it's sad =/ I just hope that in the next few years, companies become a little more lax on the issue.
[Dance=Starr]
I'm sure they'll do, piercings are getting more and more common. With a few exceptions of course, but you can't change that I guess.
Sadly there will always be some sort of stigma around them, but it will be nice once they're generally accepted.
[Dance=Starr]
It would be nice if most of the people will accept them, and to those who don't: they can think what they want I don't really care xD
Exactly =) I don't care of people don't like my piercings, I just don't want to be told I can't have a job because of them.
[Dance=Starr]
I don't have many piercings, so it's not that crazy for me, but sometimes it's funny to watch them staring xD I think ear piercings are not that difficult for people and you can put hair over it, but facial piercings ... yeah😔
I don't usually get many stares, but sometimes kids look at me funny lol. Maybe I'm just funny looking though lol

Body modification is 100% addictive. I started out with one lip ring and ended up with almost every hole they know how to make. My lobes were up to two & three-quarter inches at one point, but I ditched all of that stuff. I think my job now would be alright with a mild case of metal-face, but eh. Don't feel like risking it. I miss them so much!
Haha yes children, they don't hesitate to show what they think, sometimes that can be funny xD
Ohhi =) Yeah I've heard that from a lot of people. I guess I'm just different haha. I have no desire to get any more piercings. The only ones I've even contemplated are the chest dermals I mentioned in a previous post, but I highly doubt I'll ever get them. I'm happy with the ones I have =)
It can be haha. Sometimes even a little eye-opening. Kids are always willing to say what adults hesitate to tell you.
