@ Speiro i like this idea, or even as an alternative a Gargoyle-esque experiment.

[edit] ALSO MAYBE this is far off but I WOULD LOVE A MARBLE COLOR

I LOVE this idea!

Just one question the Donadak is already a golem like creature so how is it going to work for this pet?

I&;m imagining something like Sir Terry Pratchett&;s trolls - they can be made out of all sorts of stones or materials, anything from bricks to diamonds, depending on where they were born and grew up, but they all have diamond teeth. Some of them grow moss on their bodies as a fashion statement.
THIS was exactly what came into my mind! Following the "of all materials" theme, the pets could be made of marble and stone, with or without crystals, runes, cool aztec-like paintings, mossy, snowy or clean-y ... and maybe even with fancy carvings 8)

A thought about the Donadak: According to Subetapedia it once was 100% organic and is now about 60% stone. Depending on the origin story of the potential stone pets, the transformation could affect the Donadak's natural stone armor and make it fleshy again (poor thing o-o), or maybe it could enlarge it or make it even less flesh and more stone? On second thought, the over-ambitious mage/inventor/deity-thingy that created the stone pets could've been inspired by the Donadak, like "oh this is nice, every pet should have such an armor" and then it somehow went wrong ... coughs

Anyways, full support and grabby hands! :D

- The donadak's spikes are made of stone, but not really the rest of its body as far as I know. At least it doesn't really look like it. This color could push it to the extreme so it's very clearly made out of stone or rock. Compare the basic and glade donadaks, and imagine that stone texture extending to the rest of its body for the golem color.

Even the magnus -- which is already a stone gargoyle -- looks pretty organic right now, and could totally benefit from the artists pushing the stone idea.

It's kind of like all the aquatic pets (torrent, tutani, swampie, etc.) and hydrus. They already have fins, but hydrus brings its own flair that still works well for them.

The Donadak can still be problematic I think, the graveyard and the nostalgic have the stone idea already So it can really look similar.. Also the pre-revamp Donadak was with the floating pieces.. see here

But in any case I still support this idea, I'm pretty sure they can have a great design for the Donadak and the Magnus :)

- I completely forgot about the graveyard donadak. They could get away from that if they picked a different look for the stone (something lighter in color and smoother), and then added carved markings or some kind of rune as someone suggested. I'd also love to see something done with the eyes, like make them glowing stones or small flames, or just deep-set, empty sockets. Or go wild and replace the entire face with something abstract like a single glowing rune or something like this?

I think it's time for another pic dump because I'm googling golems again and can't stop.

SPOILER (click to toggle) "Fire Ice and Earth Golem Concept" by Rofelrolf I like what this artist did with the faces. They look more evil than what I envision for this pet color, but maybe if you didn't use such jagged edges it might look more neutral?

Bastion from Overwatch - He's a robot, but he has a similar kind of minimalistic face as the golem above without looking so evil.

"Garden Golem" by AndrewMcIntoshArt

Look at that face. Empty, lifeless eye sockets, but it still manages to look friendly.

I love the heavy brows and the underbite on this one. I could see this working for some pets like the dilemma.

(I found these last two on Pinterest. I'll update if I can find actual sources.)

This is a great idea! The mossy stone would look great.
