Mmmm....agreed on all accounts. Alphabetical or recolours + the original item together. Looking right now, there's two dress bags in the first row, two in the second, and one in the last row. It would seem that keeping them all together would make sense, maybe? Just some sort of organized grouping would be good I think.
Again, personal experience: I have a tendency to like or want at least one recolour of nearly every cw I get. Its easier to find them and more tempting to buy if their all right next to each other.
Yeah, and most recolors have similar names, so that shouldn't be an issue. All the dress bags should be in line because they all start with 'tiered' so that should make them be alphabetized.
Also, to - on a side note of submitting. I noticed on the cw submissions page, that it says we won't be charge immediately on the page for submitting an item. Does the charge come after submission and approval? Let's say that someone puts in an item that they have no intention on selling, but just want an item solely for themselves? Would they have to eventually pay for the one they got after approval? Or... how does that work? When would you be charged and how much? Just for the one item, if it's direct to the shop that is? (but if you keep the price at zero, the item doesn't appear in the shop, so I'm just curious).
edit: Also, I think it would be nice to be able to rename a category w/out deleting it and remaking it, just in case you change your mind in what you want to name your categories, you know? The text is editable, I think the title/category name should be too. =)
Is there a possibility that you might give us control over how many of each CW we might want to stock in our shop at one time ? We might want to say release only 1 batch each Morostide etc without having to password control them and that would make it sooo much easier.
Also i noticed when i tried to buy a pw protected item from my own shop that the main password i set kept giving me the incorrect password error. I ended up having to send a invite to myself to get a generated password. Is that just a glitch ?
What said. Can we get control over how many of each cw we stock please? Just because someone set it to 5 batches doesn't mean they want to release 5 batches. And certainly not at once anyway. Oftentimes the number is higher to allow for the possibility were there to be interest. Having dozens of a cw available at one time makes it look unlimited and less likely to be bought.
If we aren't allowed to control the amount, I think the hover over the amount ? on the manage shop page should be changed, because saying "This is the amount for sale. You can increase/decrease this whenever you'd like." is super misleading.
I followed a lot of shops so I could quickly find creators I really like, but had to start unfollowing some because I was getting so many alerts they were coming in faster than I could delete them! They were pushing down alerts for other things, so as I went to click for the training centre or another game of random, woops! A CW alert gets in the way and I'm sent off to someone's shop instead of the page I was aiming for. >_<
How about letting us follow shops, and choose to enable alerts for them individually? I'd just like to save my favourites to visit easily when I have CSC to burn.
The alert for 'so and so has but this item into their shop' is actually very irritating. Some people will throw in 15 items in a matter of minutes, but that doesn't mean it'll be available to buy! I'd rather that it be changed to somehow only ping when the price has changed, not when the item has been added to the shop. Plus, some people add things, then don't price them at all, so they don't show up and I dunno when they will or if they will. Those types of pings are very annoying because of how some people add things so fast.
In the mean time, I think the best thing to do while these pings are coming in, is to just collapse the even tab. It won't open even when it gets new pings. (You may need to collapse it a couple of times before it actually takes, that's what it does for me anyways). That way you can just delete the entire even 'tab' and not let the individual pings get in the way. That's what I've done because they're too irritating to leave open.
I think the idea was that Keith figured if you wanted to control the number, you could do it with unlimited, but I agree, if we could control how many are displayed at one time, even with batches, that'd be pretty cool. It could still have somewhere near it like "max # available" so if you made 5 batches, you'd have 40 left, but you're only displaying 20. That would indeed be quite nice.
Oh i totally get it and i plan on doing most of my other releases as unlimited now so i CAN have that control but i still wish we had some kind of control over our old releases in the meantime. If i only have lets say 2 batches left i don't want to exhaust both at once, especially if they are holiday themed. ya know ?
I'd like it if I didn't get an event when private cws are added to a shop. This happened over and over for a few hours the other day for me and it was a really annoying.
I agree, but in general, I don't like getting pinged for items getting put into a shop at all. I think they're irritating because someone may have put it into the shop, but they haven't actually priced it, so it's not showing up yet. It's like seeing an ad for something you can't buy yet because it's not actually available for purchase. It's like GAH. Esp when someone adds in 10 items and then doesn't price them for a day or two. If you can't get rid of those pings, at least give us the option to turn them off!
I think it'd be doable if there were a section with the list of those we follow, so we can see all the shops we follow in one central location, rather like how we can do so with ping groups. We can see all the ping groups we're in on one page. We should be able to have an option within there, for each shop, to select what pings we do and don't want. Like, general pings- and then direct pings- since some people use the pinging option and all- to send a personalized message. Those are nice, but the other pings, not so much.
I think it would be nice if you could get the artists copy to them without having to buy the item out of your own cw shop!
Any chance that we could have some sort of sales record like we do in normal user shops? Most of the time I don't need it, but if I were to put a collaboration item in there the only record I have of the sale is if pings are working, which makes it somewhat harder to check profits are being split equally with my collaborator.
Ah we actually do have a sales record of sorts...there's a counter to the left of the price, in the manage shop section. It counts up the total number of sales each of your cws has had. So you could probably just use that to find the profits to split equally c:
