I liked the old one better. Muerte hit all the points.

I really like the art, especially the eyes. But I do miss the old nose and mouth. New Quentin seems older and more mature now.

I like this revamp a lot ❤ But ... before Quentin looked more neutral. The eyes, the mouth and the twisted arm on hip/butt makes them more feminine right now.

I do agree Quentin looked more neutral before, which I liked. But I think the revamp's ok, except for the eye, which is too huge for me :P

It's a huge art improvement. I think the only thing that makes Quentin look more feminine to me now is the lips, but I can't really offer anything that would make it look more neutral.

I love the hand on the hip/ass placement. I stand like that too and I don't think it's unnatural looking at all.

Why is the neck and body and arms so thin as compared to the face? Q looks like a bobblehead now. Also their expression went from neutral welcoming to leery.

I love the clothing, the pose, the hair, and the horns (HUGE IMPROVEMENT!) but... Quentin's definitely feminine now.

1. The lips are definitely based on the old lips. However, when done in a more realistic style, the added definition makes them more feminine. In manga style art (which the art seems to be somewhat based upon), the male lips are just a few lines, whereas the female lips have outlines and often color. Also, male mouths are broader. Maleria's revamped lips are a perfect example of male lips, in my opinion.
2. Quentin's got a cute little button nose now, which is really rare (non-existent?) on guys... They can certainly have small noses but the lines tend to be more angular. Quentin didn't really have a nose before so... It wasn't an issue. There has to be a shape/style of nose that would be more natural.

Perhaps least important but still worth noting: 3. The fingers are slender and somewhat tapered now. (The pointer finger in particular... It also looks a little twisted/broken to me...) Male fingers don't taper... They can be slender but they're boxy. The fingers in the old art were all over the place, but generally thicker and not tapered.

I think if these aspects were made more masculine, the other feminine aspects might actually come across just as they ought... Androgynous.

Probably won't get changed though... Small changes, right? Ugh. Not really. Not when it clearly affects people's perception of the character. (The nail thing... That's not a big deal to me... But, if the other stuff is worked on, that could use a fix too.)

I will say... If the lore didn't make the mystery so important, I wouldn't have issue with this revamp at all. The art is amazing... It's just... wrong in some aspects.

I think it's the new Quentin's lips that are freaking me out the most. xD Like said, too defined. Idk, they just mesh weirdly. That and the weirdly angled arm on the hip are the only two things that are bothering me. Overall, I actually like it. c:

I feel like Quentin is more masculine, or at least skinny male-esque to me. It's primarily the way the chest and collar bone look. But, there are feminine elements too. I actually think it is a good mix between male and female without either dominating the other. I like it!

Like said the lips look weird. I had to block the image. I'm sorry, but I don't think I will get used to that image. I like the simpleness of the cartoon one better. They look to weird human like.

The lips weird me out, too. They're too pouty looking, and along with the new pose, Quentin just looks too flirty now. I preferred it when they were more casual.

Also, it might be the shine in their eye, but I can't tell where they're supposed to be looking. At first glance, the appear to be looking off the the left, which is an odd combination with the wink.

the revamp was LONG overdue imo. that old art just was not good (the issue of line width alone was such a mess- why was so much attention being drawn to the forearm and nowhere else??)

looks less blatantly female/feminine now, to boot. imo, the giant sparkly eye could have been left behind with the old art, but you do what you do, i guess.

If anyone wants, I have a code that I would be happy to give out to replace the current Quentin with the original art if there are those that like the original better :) I got it when I wanted to cover Maleria up (just don't let's go into that again lol)

Anyway, I think that the new is just gorgeous! It just captures the original art so well, but makes him look more lifelike. He's (yes, I know they're genderless, I know, but I was calling Quentin a "he" for months before learning otherwise. It stuck XD) one of the best NPC revamps on site.

I went to do their quests just now and was like WHAT. I'll agree that the eyes being so large doesn't really suit the style they're drawn in and the arms look oddly skinny, but overall a MAJOR improvement!

Quentin you still a cutie ❤ I kinda wish they would have gotten a more trendy/stylish shirt that didn't look so emo and dated, but that's alright. Also, the hand on the hip position doesn't seem that weird aside from being too low on their hip. I naturally position my fingers down like that, so I can vouch for it being legit.

Muerte and Abel seem to hit the nail on the head for me, as far as my thoughts on this go - it's not bad, but I'm not fond of it whatsoever. I also feel like it has enough issues anatomically that it should have probably went through a few revamps before getting pushed through. I know the old Quentin had huge eyes but the size on this one just seems way too over the top; Quentin wasn't special or unique for having big eyes, so why did this trait stick around? All of the old subeta art was super anime/chibi influenced, and I was hoping that Quentin's revamp was going to be a bit more natural.

I wish I could see this revamp. Quentin is a pear plushie for me? :/

That's a really weird thing to have happen. :x

If you cover the left side of their face (our left) they look completely feminine. (Which was not the case before the revamp - if you covered old Q's open eye, they still looked ambiguous.) The left and right eyes seem to be mismatched in a way. Also, in that position, I think that the hand-on-butt is less effective than would be a hand-on-hip.

But other than that (and the missing claws on their left hand - was that intentional?) I like the revamp! I think the art overall is a great improvement, especially the horns.
